It starts at 6:30 am and last for about 8 hours so you are finished around 2:30 pm and still have some time to enjoy the park at your own pace. i did it on Thanksgiving and it was amazing.
Awesome!
I am so excited. Were you too tired afterwards to enjoy the park?
I am not sure if we will still want to do all of the dolphin cove, nursery etc. if we have been more up close with the animals through the day. Or, perhaps we may just want to see some shows.
I am wondering if we should come another day to do the shows etc. or just do it all on one day.
Anyone?
I am never too tired to enjoy Seaworld, but we spent at least 7 days there so I just headed back to Dolphin Cove and had a hair wrap done after the Maine Mammal Keeper experience. I think it would be a good idea to come back a different day for the shows. They are often scheduled that they either overlap or are too close together that you can do them back to back. You probably only would get to see one show after the program. My favourite show is Blue Horizons so if I had gone to a show after the program, that is the one I would have chosen.
Thanks Dolphingirl for that advice. I am hoping to see at least one show that day. Maybe I will come another day to do Atlantis and check out some other things in the park. I would love to hear more about your experience. How was the lunch they provided? Enough or should I plan on buying food?
DeeCee...I had never heard of this until I read about it on a board. Check out the Sea World Website and look for Marine Mammal Keeper program. That will give you all the details on it. Then you can see if it is right for you.
Not sure why it was bumped since we've been posting on it all day already.
Hey SeaShell724, I seem to be following you around the boards wanting answers to the same questions! Thought I'd add this about how long it takes to see the park.. I'm seeing others give advice about getting a second day free. I don't know how you purchased your tickets or what package you did but when I got ours way back in November I got them online as e-tickets. On the ticket printout, under the "legal terms" title, it states that our tickets are good for 7 consecutive days from first day's entry. We toured Sea World a few years back with this same offer and it was great! When we got tired of the crowds we would head back to the hotel and swim for a bit and didn't feel pressured to see it all at one time. We came back a few days, for just a few hours at a time, and it was a very relaxing, non stressful way to see the park. I think we'll check out the mammal program too. Sounds like it's something my daughter (10) would really like! Lastly, I checked out the schedule yesterday on the website and by clicking on each calendar day you could see when each show ran. We are going in May... You?
I booked mine the day before I did it and there was availability for the whole Thanksgiving weekend. I was the only participant on Thanksgiving. As to the food I think normally it is just Deli sandwiches, but I have heard that they are huge. I was lucky as I was invited to the staff Thanksgiving dinner. I was also offered some bottled water or soda in the morning.
