Marina view at BLT?

I think that I have DH talked into trying BLT--woohoo! He doesn't do parks much anymore so I think he would enjoy a room facing the marina (for years we owned boats and he misses that). What view category would I book to try for a marina view request?

That is considered a lake view. But most lake views are in the horseshoe facing the pool. The marina view is the outside lakeview but you can't request a specific lake view.

I am pretty sure that the outside of the "C" is a even numbered room but double check before you make your reservation.

We seem to get the marina view more than the others and we enjoy it. Monorail to the right, marina opposite the room and lake to the left.

I'm a BLT novice, also just starting to plan our first stay there. What I've read on other threads is that the rooms on the outside of the "C" have even numbers, those on the inside have odd numbers. So to start, request an even-numbered room. Those booking a Lake View and hoping to get a bit of a view of the MK also add "North side" to their requests. I don't know if that means you would request "South side" to see the marina since I don't really know the orientation of BLT. Try doing a search for BLT threads. I had found some threads with good discussions of what kind of request to make when booking Lake View.

The outside rooms are indeed the even numbered rooms. I always request an even numbered room because I don't want to end up with a view that looks directly across the courtyard to another room.

You should request an even numbered room on the south side.

I would ask for an even number room. You'll either get the marina on the south or the lake on the north end. We would watch the boaters on either end. Often saw people fishing on the north end.

Even numbered, south side. We were in villa 8136 last year. We were on the 11th floor, and had a perfect view of the monorail, contemporary hotel and pool, the marina and bay lake. We loved it. It was our favorite view at BLT. We had even number, north side the year before and had a partial view of the MK, but the marina view was better.

If HA is not available then we will probably try a non-HA 1 bedroom if that is available 7 months out. We will book BW view at 11 months because it will be October.
I never thought DH would do this but he liked the marina when I did my parasail yesterday!

I request "near elevators" and at BLT that has always happened. When I am near the elevator that is nearest the Cont it is a Marina view. I also have to book BLT as 7 months, lake view.

Certainly he will scoot over to MK if at BLT though correct? Sounds awesome good luck. Oh and outside 1BR's are slightly wider on the LR window than inside the "C".

Yes, scooting to MK for MNSSHP is one reason I thought that Oct. would be a good time to try BLT. DH won't do buses on the scooter. He is not a huge fan of Food and Wine, so giving up BWV in Oct. won't be a problem for him. He will miss scooting to DHS for TSM, which is the only ride he really loves (loading and unloading for disabled is wonderful on that ride).

You can also see the monorail.
At night, you will also be able to see the Epcot fireworks in the distance.

Another bonus to the marina side is the short distance to the elevators near the sky bridge.

I agree with this. We were in a LV studio in September. We were in room #8432 which was the first door to the right of the elevators. Our view consisted of the Marina, Monorail, CR, and then in the distance we got to see all of the icons of AK, Epcot, and DHS. And if you looked over to the very far right of the balcony (we were on the 14th floor so I only did this once) I got to see glimpses of GF and BTMRR and Splash Mountain. We all loved this room and would highly recommend this view to anyone .

Gosh, reading all of these great replies makes me really hope that we can get a marina view. We will be trying for next October and I can't book until 7 months out, so I have a long time to contain my excitement! Thanks for all this great help, everyone!

I a lake view room. If you search BLT 7942, you should get to see 4 pics of the view.

Wonder what happened to my other words in my post....? Lol. What I was trying to say was, it was listed as a lake view, but we actually had a marina view, too!
