Marie's New Years Resolution~in July

I was thinking the same thing...you're not eating enough!! I know you probably think that if you're not eating a healthy meal that you should skip the other meals...but that's really not true. Try to get in something in the am for breakfast. Something with some protein to get that metabolism going all day. (sorry, I don't mean to lecture you - I'm no perfect eater...that's for sure!) Even when I know I'm gonna eat like crap all day, I'll have some eggs or yogurt for breakfast - just because I know it'll keep me burning, even if I'm not gonna work out.

You're kickin butt with the water....and only one sweet tea!! That's INCREDIBLE!! Think back to before you knew me and my darn challenges....how many would you have had?? I know it would have been a LOT more than 1!!!! :cheer2:

I can't wait to see your pics. I still want you to travel to NJ to take some family pics for me. :rolleyes1
 
Your hair looks great! And NO, you don't have a fat face. So stop with that nonsense!

Keep it up, ditto what the others said. You need to eat throughout the day to keep your metabolism going!
 
Ok...today wasn't TOOO terribley bad
I started a herbal cleansing. I won't go into the details, but the fiber drink sucks!!

b-lemon crunch breakfast bar (AdvoCare) (not bad either)
s-1 cinamon roll (the little pillsbury kind)
l-leftover lasagna - small piece...major heartburn after that
d-1 small bowl of Capn' Crunch cereal. (I didn't want any leftovers, and I didn't want to cook anything either)
water - 60 oz
exercise-none - after all the running around this weekend, I took today off.
resisted-candy drawer, more cinamon rolls, killing co-workers

I started a weight loss supplement/ vitamin program. It's called AdvoCare.
So far I've done 7days of the Weightloss Program and have lost 4 lbs. (it's a 14 day jump start program.) I normally can't take vitamins....they make me throw up....even the Flintstones Chewables. But this stuff is pretty good.
I REALLY like the Spark Energy drink! DH makes it for me every morning...it's like coolaid...only sugar free....and doesn't make your skin crawl!
If anyone wants any info....PM me. My kids even take the vitamines and like them..go figure! :confused3
Oh....I haven't taken my Zoloft in 10 days either!! Talk about miracles!!

Tomorrow I will do better on my eating. I stopped at the store tonight and bought some fruit and veggies, and salad stuff. I also sent the lasagna home w/ my boss. I'm sick of seeing it!

DH worked with someone who sold AdvoCare. He did the drinks and vitamins for a while then just gave up. I hated that cleanse! I hope you have more success than I did - obviously it didn't work for me (but then, what does?)

Good job getting rid of all the lasagne and stocking up on healthy choices. And congrats on the 4lb loss! :cool1:
 

I like the AdvoCare. I'm gonna stick with it! DH has been using it also and we are both seeing some pretty good results! I know you have to eat right, and exercise, and I've started back on that track...I really feel that even if I don't lose 40 pounds, I'm still doing something healthy for myself, and that's what's important. If ya feel like trying it out again, feel free to let me know!

Well, today was good! No, actually today was great!!
Pre-B~ Herbal stuff.....again....yucky, but working! (TMI :confused3 )
B-1 english muffin w/ grape jelly
L-small salad w/ lite italian, 1 small piece of Veggie pizza
D-1/2 ham & cheese biscut/croissant thingy that I make for DS. (it's basically a homemade hot pocket)
water-60 oz
exercise-2 mile walk this morning - 36 minutes, plus walking tonight...60 minutes...(i'm counting it!!)
resisted-candy drawer, donuts, halloween candy, slapping the S#!% out of R(coworker)

We already went through the candy....the icky stuff was tossed. We kept enough to fill a medium sized bowl...and the rest will go to work w/ DH and I tomorrow. I don't want the stuff around here!! Heck, I still have an entire Sams Club bag of candy that was never opened!! That is gonna get donated somewhere!!
Anyway, I'm tired...kids and DH are in bed....Gunner just passed gas....it's time to call it a day!

So is this Advocare very expensive? (I'm guessing it is if it works)

I did one of those herbal cleansing things once and I couldnt stomach it, so to speak! :rotfl2: It was drinking some seriously nasty stuff tho and you had to take these pills every few hours and they were humongous and yucky, so maybe yours isnt as bad. I do need to do something tho, just not sure which way to go. Congrats on the weight loss!

Like I told Linda in a PM I sent her....I like the stuff....If you want to try it, GREAT...if you don't...that's ok too. Yes, it is a little expensive...but for me...it's worth it.

THe pictures of the kids look great--i like the idea of filling a bowl and getting the rest out of the house--makes me glad we have no candy here!

I am LOVIN these goals you've set for yourself!! And love the new tickers. :thumbsup2 Are you saying you're planning on run/walking 2.5 miles 7 days/week? That seems like a LOT!! I don't think I could handle that. You might want to plan some rest days in there to give your muscles time to rebuild.

If Advocare has anything to do with swallowing pills, unfortunately I'm out. I have a hard time swallowing pills of any size. It's sad, really. :rolleyes: But I am SO proud of you (and your DH) for taking care of yourselves. And you've seen some great results already!!! CONGRATS!!!

Your kids were totally cool in their costumes!!

I've been using Photobucket for my pics on here lately since snapfish stopped working for me. I use the bottom URL (photobucket gives you 3 choices of URLs) to copy & paste into the DIS...and that works. it starts out with

That is so weird, DS had that EXACT costume last year! And for some reason we kept the mask in the garage and the AZ heat was not nice to it. The blood got all dried up and nasty... DD looks so cute!

I'm glad the Advocare is working for you! That will help keep you motivated to stay on track. Great job getting all that walking in. I know you can stick with it and reach your goal! :thumbsup2
 
Just getting caught up ... as usual, you have lots of stuff going on. I love the haircut. I am so tempted to go short, but haven't had the nerve yet. Kids costumes were great. Your goals look wonderful. I'm glad the Advocare is working for you and that DH is working out with you too. That must help so much to have him be completely onboard. Have a great rest of the week, and don't kill any co-workers - employers frown on that ... (most of the time anyway :rotfl2: )
 
Kim ~ Yes....walking everyday will be hard....but I have to get it into my head, for every day that I miss...I'll have to double up somewhere else. It gives me the motivation to push myself. And yes, I'll take a day off here and there...but if you're doing 4+ every couple of days, I should be able to do 2+ to 3 every couple of days. Also, if I don't make the goal, I'm not gonna curl up in a ball....I'm just gonna try harder...it's the motivating factor I need. Oh...that and you pushing me!!

Amy ~ After I read what happened to your DS mask, I went and ran warm water through his until it was all clear....it's hanging in the shower drip drying. (can't wait til DH goes in there to shower!! :teeth: )

Anna ~ I have had so many compliments on my hair....i'm starting to get a big head!!! :rolleyes1
Also, having DH on board w/ me on the exercise/weight loss is a MAJOR help. He was on the "mill" last night, and I"m hitting it tonight. Also, work is getting worse by the day. The new GM is a total buttmunch, and is making everyone in the place stress out! I've decided to buy some headphones and start wearing them....if that doesn't get me fired, well hell, I guess I'm stuck there then!!

Today-
B-Lemon Crunch Bar (AVC-it's ok....)
S-Strawberry Cheesecake Bar (AVC - yummy :) )
L-Ham on wheat sandwich, 1 brownie bite
D-Caesar Salad w/ lite dressing
Water - 80 oz .....(yes...i'm floating!)
Exercise-Heading out now to hit the 'mill. I WILL DO 2.5 tonight!!

I just realized...I don't know when the last time I had a regular coke was! I have a 1 liter bottle in the fridge...(left over from Rum & Cokes this weekend).
Anyway, before that would have been gone the next day!

I had a trick-or-treater with that mask! It was so cool! :goodvibes I called my son to come look at it. Glad to see you are so psyched up and doing so well! Keep it up! I wish we would have a little better weather so I could go walking too.

I'm glad you rinsed that mask out! I had to throw DS's away, he was not happy...

Your treadmill goal is great, I like that it is based on distance instead of time. And it always helps when you have someone doing it with you!!

Keep it up and stay away from that Coke!

How was your day??!! Mine you ask? Mine was a rollercoaster from hell!!
GM is a total @$$...he asked me to do some stupid form...in the middle of month end close....my boss told him it would have to wait....they got into it....owner comes in....my boss & GM get into it....my boss says she's done w/ this place and calls her husband to come and get her..(she has a demo)...the owner takes her outside....they talk...owner comes in....talks to a few of us in the office....now then...rumor has it that GM won't be employed there by tomorrow. We'll see...all we can do is hope!! :wizard:

So...food today...
B-1 piece of toast w/ peanut butter on it.

s-1 hershey mini
D-Pizza bread (2 pieces equivilant to 2 pieces of pizza :guilty: )
Water-almost 80 oz....will have the full 80 in before bed
Resisted-candy bowl, more then one hershey mini, brownie bites, shoving my head i a bag of baked lays chips, slapping the crap out of GM, walking out of my job, stress eating.
Exercise-power walked 3 miles w/ dh.....GREAT stress reliever and it felt great!! :woohoo:

ok...gonna go read for a little bit....gonna try to get to bed early...was midnight last night....

Way to go on the walking instead of stress eating!!!! That is always something I will struggle with. Pretty gutsy of your boss to walk out, but obviously it got the point across and will hopefully straighten some things out.

I hope to come back from my cruise and find that you have racked tons of miles on that treadmill!
