I have only had a "maggie" (I know, I'm cheesy) while at WDW and it was at the Pepper Market at CSR. It was very very yummy but a bit strong. I wanted to get one at the WS next time we go. Are they stout there as well?

I know the answers will vary on this one, but I welcome any and all replies! :)

:disrocks:

I enjoyed the margarita from the Mexican "fast food" style restaraunt right next to the lake. It was very good and quite strong. I already had a few drinks in me before hand (French wine sampler, German beer, Italian liquor), but this sort of topped off my buzz...

:woohoo: I had the rainbow margarita. It was good!

Margaritas are usually my vice of choice- Tried one of the layered Margaritas in Mexico and WOW tooooo strong for this girl! Now the Pina Colada daqueri (sp?) over at the little stand in Morroco was just right! :thumbsup2

I would stay away from the ones at Epcot, I've tried them about 10 times now and they're always terrible and not very strong. Way too sweet and just an off taste about them. I'm a margarita nut myself :) Whatever mix they use tastes really low quality, which surprises me about Disney.

If you want a good one, head over to Maya Grill, they're the best I've had on property, if not the best anywhere.

and I didnt like the rainbow, just give me the plain one - - it is a mix, comes from the frozen slushy machine - (but I'm picky dont like my flavors mixing!!)

but I do like a frozen margarita on a hot day in epcot!! :thumbsup2

The Epcot ones are decent, but a tad expensive. I've tried them all and my favorite is the Mango with the sugar around the edge instead of salt. I think Mango goes very well with Tequila.

I had a strawberry one on our arrival day while at WS (not much to eat in HOURS, tired...), I sucked it down pretty quickly as I was starving and thirsty.....then I was pushing DD10 in her wheelchair, looking for DH and DD6.....started thinking I shouldn't drink and "drive", I was so woozy! Used the Wheelchair to steady myself!
Had a couple of others while there, and not quite the same effect as I was better fed and not as tired, but still very strong!

i love the fiesta margaritas-i think they're 7.50
i guess that is alot but they're so refreshing during a hot day

I TOO WILL HAVE TO SAY THAT THE ONES OUTSIDE OF MEXICO ARE WOW!!!! :thumbsup2 I ALWAYS HAVE SOME MONEY STORED FOR THOSE WHILE I AM THERE! :cool1: I HAVE NEVER HAD THE RAINBOW ONE, BUT I LOVE THE MANGO! :cheer2: WE LEAVE FOR DISNEY IN 2 DAYS! THAT WILL BE ONE OF MY FIRST STOPS. :moped:

My m-i-l and I enjoyed the rainbow ones in Mexico. Both of us thought they were so tasty and there must not be much tequilla in them, heck we could barely taste it. Fast forward five minutes later as my husband is trying to forcibly remove two VERY happy women from the park, giggling the whole way.

So yes, I'd say the strength kinda sneaks up on you.

Of course we returned 3-4 more times later in the trip just to make sure :mickeyjum

LOL - I agree...DH and I had to share the mango margarita from that stand last trip. BUT, we had also come from a late breakfast at Spoodles where I enjoyed a mimosa and he had a bloody mary.

My husband likes the olives that it comes with, not to mention the real kick it has!

I enjoyed the margaritas from Mexico also, But the best magarita i had on the trip was from the poly !! Omg we had so many of them ! We stayed at poly and i kept sending hubbie down till closing lol ....Also the lapu lapus or Yummmy strong as hell tho lol

The margaritas at Epcot are a bit off but that's why you have to start with a XXX and then go on the Marg.... After drinking the XXX, its all good! ;)

Is there anywhere in WDW that I can get a real one that is not made with a mix. After living in Texas for several years I just can't go back to the frozen ones from a machine. I need a good on-the-rocks one made with real lime juice and NO mix. :drinking1 How is the one at the Poly made?

Thanks!

My bf and I are margarita snobs. We make our own with fresh lime juice and we make them very strong! And never frozen.

We've had the rainbow frozen ones by Mexico, and they are very sweet and not that strong.

We actually had some good margaritas at the Rainforest Cafe at DTD, of all places lol!

The margaritas at the San Angel Inn are pretty weak, but you can "kick them up a notch" with Cointreau instead of Triple Sec. But still expensive and weak.

We got some at Coral reef, and those were pretty decent but they were kinda small.

Next trip we are going to try Cap'n Jacks... heard they have good ones.
