Margarita drinkers! Question for those who like Mexico in Epcot

Will San Angel Inn or La Hacienda make any of their 'on the rocks' varieties frozen or will they only serve the 'frozen' menu items...frozen?

I'm a margarita/straight tequila drinker any day, but I like the frozen ones more for 100 degree disney days.

Anyone knowwwww? Thanks!

Ok i don't really know the answer to your question but i thought i would give you a word of advise if you don't know already. DO NOT get a frozen marg from the stands outside. They are TERRIBLE. Def go inside and order something good!

I found that out the hard way last year, they taste like a slushie with absolutely no tequila.

I believe you can order from the tequila bar and la hacienda for to go margaritas though??

1) The ones outside were changed three years ago.
2) Used to like, them. *
3) Now, we pass them by.
4) HOWEVER, the ones inside are made to order !
5) And, I hear they are ordered a lot !

* On a hot day, we would get one and walk toward Germany.
We usually got about 1/2-way and they were gone.
Then, back again for a refill.

Take it from a tequila lover...don't waste your time getting a margarita anywhere but LaCava bar. Seriously, they are expensive but sooooo worth it. They do not skimp on the tequila and are very potent.

It is well worth the 1/2 hour - hour to take a time out and grab 1 or 2 inside. It is a well deserved break out of the heat, you will appreciate them all the more. Enjoy!!

You can walk in the bar and order. They have a bar you can sit at, a few small tables and a booth or 2 in the corner I believe. It isn't big, but just enough room to sit and enjoy a drink or 2.

You can go in and order at the bar in LaCava. They'll even give you a plastic cup so you can enjoy your margarita outside.

And if you really like tequila, this is the bar to head to. Last time I went I ordered a blood orange margarita. I am pretty sure they forgot to put the 'flavoring' in the drink. It was pure alcohol....at least that was what it seemed!

Lol I guess thats the good thing about a bar in Disney, shouldn't be a wait with all the kids and parents watching them lol, i guess 98% of the population shouldn't be in there too long haha.

La Cava is definetly the place to go for a great on the rocks margarita. If you like straight tequila, skip the rocks and order a flight. They are wonderful. Even though the place is always packed, DH and I always make time to stop in. As others have said, its a great "escape the heat" place. Its dark and cool and tucked in a corner. Enjoy!

Haha no no I mean they're good when it's hot out, and taste good in general. But everytime I had them they usually lack the tequila taste almost entirely for me to like it as a margarita

Inside the Mexico Pavilion off to the right. No stools at the bar ... I've seen it 3 deep at the bar with people getting take-out margaritas. We much rather sit and enjoy the coolness of the cave!

Well, you can get chips with guacamole, cheese dip and salsa, but you'll have to pay for it. Doesn't show up automatically. They have a food menu, but just appy-type things like I listed.

Exactly. They used to have a slightly bigger and better menu, but I guess in the interest of keeping people from coming in to only order food and/or keeping the tables constantly rotating, they cut the menu down to just chips and dips.

It really is a small place. From memory, I think there are about six or seven tables and a small living room set up with about six to eight cushioned chairs and benches all around a central coffee table. There isn't much room to sit, but we still always manage to find a table around lunch time for a drink. Most people just come in to the bar, grab a drink and then go.

I agree. My wife and I are big margarita fans, and La Cava is definitely the best. The Cabana Bar at the Swolphin makes a good one too.

sooo good!! Last time I had one I went "shopping" with my daughter around epcot and ended up with all kids of "must haves" lol lol lol
