Hello fellow refugees,
Sorry I haven't replied sooner. Right after I started this thread my life went into turmoil. DW sold our house and we had to find someplace to live. Did that and then had to get internet access. In the meantime, we were trying to find a permanent home in Mobile, where we are relocating to, while trying to get settled into a temporary situation in Chalmette. Finally got internet service.
Anyway, we will be in the MK on Wednesday am as my niece is performing with the chorus from her school (Our Lady of Prompt Succor) at the stage in Tomorrowland.
Staying at the BCV.
Remainder of itinerary is *gasp* UNKNOWN!!!!!!!!
Too many things at once.
If you guys plan to meet somewhere, please let us know as we would love to meet some of you wonderful people, if possible.

Have a safe and Happy Mardi Gras and we'll see you real soon... :moped:

Doc and Family,

We are heading down to Orlando too, from Baton Rouge to OKW. But my husband wouldn't let us leave until Monday am, after the Bacchus parade. It's not as if we have been upteen times before, but hey, he can't help it, it's in his blood. We lived on the Metairie parade route for 16 1/2 years, so personally, I have had enough. I think I have Disney in my blood instead of MG.

My son is traveling with his high school band (Catholic High), and they are performing in the parade at 3 pm. How cool is that? Naturally, I decided the rest of the family just had to drive over to see them perform. We'll have to head to Tomorrowland in the am to catch your niece's choral performance.

You might see us there, my husband is the large guy with the alligator jazz festival shirt and the purple and gold LSU baseball hat. You really can't miss him, even in a crowd, LOL.

Have a great trip. And if we do not run into you, good luck with your move.
When we moved to BR, we sold our Metairie house in March 1999, before we found a house here. We stayed with a very generous friend for a couple months, stayed in an apartment in BR for 6 weeks and then finally got into our house here in August. I would not wish this experience on anyone.
