Dang, I didn't get any pictures of King Gator on Friday night. And unfortunately, most of my friends were on floats Friday night so we didn't have anybody taking photos. :( Hope someone has some for you.

We will be going to Mardi Gras on April 19 and looking really forward to it. Where would you say would be the best place to be to watch the parade and see the action? On the website it says 7:45pm, how early would you want to be in the park and at your viewing spot? (not sure what crowds will be like on the 19th with it being Easter weekend and all).

I tend to avoid anyplace between the Boulangerie and Twister because that area tends to get quite congested with folks trying to get to the concert. From the entrance to Twister down to Louie's is usually a pretty good area, especially if you want to try to get into the concert area afterwards.

Park attendance and the weather will impact how early to get to your viewing area. Being Easter weekend and with Kool & the Gang (who are usually pretty popular) performing I'd expect it to be somewhere between a moderate crowd to an extremely busy night. My friends and I usually head over to our chosen viewing area fairly early (an hour or more) but that is mainly because we just all really enjoy hanging out together and we don't often get to do that outside of Mardi Gras and HHN.
