Mardi Gras or Easter week 2016?

I never thought I would be asking this, but for spring 2016 our options are, 2/6-2/15, Mardi Gras is 2/16 and Presidents Day is 2/15, or 3/24-4/2, Good Friday 3/25 and Easter is 3/27.

Normally we wouldn't do either of these, but these are our options. I am usually the go to person to ask questions to for trip planning. I would tell people to avoid either of these weeks.

I'd pick spring break for the better traveling weather and also hit the beach.

Well the decision has been made. DIL can't go over Easter, so February it is.

Mardi Gras 2016 is on February 9th. Most New Orleans area schools will be off the week of February 8-12. Even though you will overlap both Mardi Gras and Presidents weekend since they don't occur at the same weekend, I think you will be okay.
