Mardi Gras or Easter 2021?

Trying to decide....
Mardi Gras Feb 14-20, 2021..Presidents Day is Feb 15.
Or
The week after Easter but beginning on Easter Sunday April 4-10, 2021.
I looked at crowd calendar for this year and it seems like Easter week may be less crowded. We stay onsite and have always arrived at rope drop and stay at 1 park all day.
What do y’all think?

I think I would likely do Easter week because hours might get extended in the parks. I can see maybe President's day getting an extension, but not necessarily the entire week.

Also think about which festival you might enjoy more if EPCOT is your thing (Flower and Garden Easter or the Art series in Feb)

This year's Mardi Gras week was horrible in terms of crowds and it wasn't even the same week as President's day... so definitely I would go for Easter: warmer weather for pool Time, longer park hours, Flower and Garden Festival... definitely Easter for me!

I agree on Easter b/c of the hours & we are planning to probably do the same.

From what I've read of crowds and staffing from the past 3 months, and without knowing how Easter is being handled this year yet but only from past years, it does seem as if WDW is better at extending park hours and staffing appropriately during what would normally be high crowd periods - and Easter is typically one of these.

And be careful how you interpret crowd calendar numbers. Some are based on perceived ride availability and throughput and not actually on the number of people that are in the parks. When WDW has extended park hours and provides better staffing, ride throughput is increased so many more people are able to enjoy the attractions in a single day.

IMO, Easter’s date variability makes year-over-year crowd comparisons particularly problematic. Same can be said for Mardi Gras too.
