Mardi Gras Not Always Fun and Games

Wow, Jessica - that must have been really tough to see. Sorry you had to go through that and, of course, prayers for the family. How sad.

Even though I love "events" and festivities, I've always been afraid of Mardi Gras. It always seems to be so dangerous and out of control. I'm sure you folks in New Orleans are glad when it's over.

I heard 2-3 people got shot during a parade this year too. What a way to ruin a celebration. I will save my visit to NO for October.

And i just can't wait till it's over. I've heard the parade on Fat Tuesday gets pretty wild here.

Just the thought / pictures / what I've heard of Mardi Gras has always made me nervous... We have our share of parties down here in San Antonio - but somehow Mardi Gras always looks so wild!

The poor woman was from Bulverde - which is just down the road from us. (I do my Grocery shopping there - my boys went to school there...) I was so sad when I heard it on the local news today. She and her husband were/are real estate agents. I know I've seen her around town. Even tho' you don't know someone personally - some how it makes you sadder when you've seen them around.
