Mardi Gras Floats?

Has anybody heard mention of how someone can be picked to ride on the floats. Last year there was a contest I think but this year I have heard not one mention of ways to ride one of the floats.

I believe in years past, they've had a sign-up website for annual passholders.

I got to be on a float last year but it was simply by being in the right place at the right time. I think they just needed extra people that night and since we were nearby, they asked my friends and I.

you can possibly also go to guest services and request there.

that is how some were able to be balloon holders for a different parade.

maybe it works the same way??
