Mardi Gras Concert Questions

I have never been and I am interested in attending the Heart concert. Can anybody give me any information about the concerts? Where are they held? What time? Is there seating? Any other information about the concerts or Mardi Gras would be greatly appreciated.

They are held inside Universal Studios, your park ticket for that day includes the Mardi Gras parade, followed by the concert, which will start around 8:30pm. No seating, If you want a good view near the front you should get over to the concert area pretty early, 6pm or so. You'll be able to hear fine and see via large monitors no matter what time you show up, so you can watch the parade then catch the show if you prefer. The sound system is pretty decent and you'll be able to see the band even if you are at the back, you'll just see them better the closer you are.

No need to give you directions to the concert. Once you're inside the park you'll find it, guaranteed

I wouldn't recommend sitting. You would be surrounded by people standing and bad things could happen. Like someone stepping on your hand, foot, etc. or falling on top of you. I would recommend trying to find a spot near a tree or bench which are off to the side and lean against them. This is the stage area. Keep in mind this was really early so people are sitting in this picture. But once the concert time gets close, no one will be sitting...and Heart will bring in a HUGE crowd. You might also ask a TM if you could go to the handicapped area...it wouldn't hurt to ask.

I may do that for the Beach Boys. Maybe not 10:00 a.m., but definitely way early.

Agreed. Seen probably a couple dozen concerts at Universal over the last decade, and Heart would be in my top two (other being Chirs Isaak's Christmas show last year). Expect a large crowd for this one.
