Hello DISers! We are having a delimna about whether going on a Disney trip March 2016 (March 7-11 is our Spring Break) or November 2016 (the week before Thanksgiving).

March Pros - it's sooner than later! :-). We would stay at POFQ which is our fav resort. Flower & Garden Festival at EPCOT. Most likely great weather. Our daughter won't miss school.
March Cons - we would have to drive (this is a pro for DH). Crowds? No Free Dining.

November Pros - love Christmas decorations, free dining (if we can get it), more time at Disney with Thangsgiving break
Novemberber Cons - weather is unpredictable, crowds?, cold/flu season, daughter will miss a week of school, and if we are able to get free dining, no POFQ.

What do you all think or suggest? Would the first week of March be crazy crowded? I would love any feedback on your thoughts or suggestions. Thank you soo much!

Thank you! Our spring break is March 7-11, so I guess that would make it the second week of March. Sorry for the confusion. :-)

I've been over Thanksgiving week several times and it was really crowded - my husband doesn't ever want to go back then. He doesn't like crowds. We also went during our April Spring Break the week after Easter and it was crazy crowded - freaked my husband and DD out so we've never gone back then.

I've never gone in March so I don't know what that would be like - I did just book a first week of March trip for next year so I guess if I keep those dates, I'll be finding out. :rotfl:

We've went in March (first week in March) the past 2 times, 2014 and 2012. We are going the week before Thanksgiving this year. March was beautiful weather, flower festival was an added bonus, crowds weren't bad. This time I am most excited about going in November for Christmas decorations. I think either time you choose will be great!

I really like November for the decorations, but one con is if you are not there after Thanksgiving, you will not be able to experience the Holidays Around the World at Epcot. I think that is one of the best experiences you can have over the holidays. There is so much to do. I have been for the F&G festival a long time ago and enjoyed it, but I prefer Disney with the Christmas decorations.
