I'm in a dilema. I'm looking for a bargain trip for DH & myself and though that perhaps March would be a good idea, but I've just noticed that a number of posts mention Spring Break.

Does Spring Break affect the crowds the whole month or is it the equivilent of our half term?

Alternatively, would the last couple of weeks in April be better - after the easter rush?

I also pondered over September, but the prices seem relatively high considering the school holidays are over - perhaps its because the weather is still very good???

Any advice most welcome :)

Last few weeks of April is what I would go for as -

a) The crowds are lighter

b) Weather is warmer

c) Flower and Garden Festival at Epcot is on!!

yes spring break affects the crowds it is the busiest i have seen it. on saying that we r still booked to go there next year at same time.

ques for rides were 60/70/80mins plus at all parks. most things were just impossible to get to for the length of the que.

also traffic quite heavy and lots of delays on the road.

we were there last week of march first week of april and couldnt really understand why it was so busy, until we were there last week when it was so quiet and one of the disney bibbidee bobbide boutique staff members commented on how busy it is at spring break in march. and the penny dropped. knew it was spring break time of yr, and it was quite nice seeing the schools wandering round with their class of tshirts on, but it was busy.

I would definitely go for late April after Easter, one of the best times to go and the weather is perfect.
The same cannot be said of March where it is more unpredictable, and last year we found we had days where it rained all day, lovely sunny days and days where it was much cooler especially in the mornings.

Our March Discovery Cove day was ruined by the bad weather.

Thanks for all the advice.

I think I'm leaning towards April - mainly for the weather- although smaller crowds are also a bonus. I now need to decide who to fly with- we usually fly with Virgin, but have not been overly impressed over the past few years. Nothing really wrong, but aside from it being a scheduled flight,I don't think its anything 'special' for the extra price.

Any recommendations for good charter flights?

Thanks

Mpet
