Looking ahead to our trip next week (and hopeful OUR favorite team advances to play next Sunday!) it looks like the game might conflict directly with our ADRs at Boma. I know to some people that might not be a big deal but I'll be at Disney with DH and three teenage boys for whom basketball is WAAAAY important at this time of year! I've never been to AKL and Boma but am keeping my fingers crossed that there is a tv somewhere close to the restaurant where the guys can at least from time to time check the scores. We are not staying at AKL so dashing up to our room is not an option...and neither is changing our ADRS :goodvibes

Anybody know if there is a tv in the bar or the lobby?

I'm from Kentucky so I know how important this is! :rotfl:

There are TV's in the lobby, but when we were there, they were playing cartoons. I don't know if you can change the channel or not. :confused3 I didn't try, seeing as how DD2 was happy with the cartoons. I don't know about the bar.

DD18 is a huge basketball fan (and Duke is her second favorite team) and she went to London last night. At the airport in Louisville of course, they had all the TV's tuned to basketball. She had a 3-hour layover in Chicago and she called home to say the only TV's she could find were tuned to CNN! :rolleyes2 I told her they just have their priorities different up there. ;)

The tvs in the lobby are in the children's area. They play disney cartoons. I don't think they play "real" tv. The bar at AKL is more of a lounge and I don't remember it having a tv. It is also up a flight of stairs from Boma. I can't really think of anyplace at AKL that would meet your needs. Is there anyway you can change Boma to another night or time? I think you should head to ESPN club instead.

I understand exactly what you mean. At this very moment my DH is yelling at the TV about a basketball game. When we stayed at AK we didn't go out the first night because DH had to stick around for an Indiana University game. I don't think there are any TV's around other than those for the cartoons. It's no comparison, but you could always change your ressie to ESPN club.

The pool bar has 2 TV's that usually are showing something sports related. It's not too far from Boma. But, it closes earlier than Victoria Falls (the inside bar) I want to say usually about 9 pm, depending on how busy it is/the time of year.

OMG i don't believe you planned disney during march madness can't miss the games.

One of the pool bartenders (Stevie, I believe) is a huge sports fan, and will likely be keeping a close eye on the scores as well. He was looking up football scores on his phone for guests last December. If not, there are a couple of TVs in the Victoria Falls lounge which are typically tuned in to sporting events. Enjoy! :wave2:

Victoria Falls (AKL Bar) is right above the Boma Restaurant. It's very open and you can actually see Boma right below from the bar area; however, I don't think you will be able to see the TVs in the bar from Boma. You should be able to walk right up the steps next to Boma (one flight) and check the status of the game periodically.

That would be your best option until you finish your meal.

Good Luck!
