Hey, April, hold that thought. I have some not so good news . Thanks about the bathroom, it has been fun redecorating. I learned a HUGE lesson in doing the fixtures; TAKE THE SINK OUT, just a hint if you do your own stuff..........

OMG! That is terrible! How did they mess that up so bad? If you DO decide to not send Amanda to Disney, there is a way to get a Passport & put a rush on it. I think if you call your Town Clerk's office they may be able to help you.
I'm sorry...that REALLY stinks!!! I was thinking of joining DVC, but now I'm not so sure!!

Oh Dana! I hated the last post in it's entirety! I can see why you are frustrated and upset. John would do exactly as Dale is saying...screw it all. Maybe after everything dies down a bit and you've had time to cool off, maybe you can think about starting the process again.

I think the part that I hate most is that Amanda no longer has a place to honeymoon. I know it's not the same but has she looked into Vero Beach? I was on the site yesterday looking around.

I'm so sorry things fell apart. I agree with Lisa. Let things settle down a little. They always have rooms at SSR. I've never called and not been able to get in...even a week before. If you really want DVC, I wouldn't let a paperwork mistake keep me from my dream.

If she decides to cruise....As long as Amanda sails from and back into the same port she does not need a passport. When we were sailing on Carnival from New Orleans we didn't need one. The only issue with that is, if she were to be injured and need to leave the cruise and fly home she would need the passport to fly. Another valid option is that you can have your passport expedited through a service and they will actually walk it through for about $100. We do it all the time for employees who need to make emergency trips to China-we can get it in as little as one week. I just checked the government's website and the government says it takes 4-6 weeks for the standard process passport and if you request expedited it is 2-3 weeks door to door..

I know it's easy for me to say, but try not to panic. Amanda can still have the honeymoon she is dreaming of...

Thanks everybody . I just got off the phone with Disney and told them to cancel the contract and refund my deposit. Dale is adamant about NOT redoing all the paper work. I don't know that I will ever again be able to convince him that buying DVC is a good thing. We are both very angry that Amanda got caught in the middle of it. She canceled her WHOLE honeymoon, which had been booked almost a year ago, when we booked her at OKW. Today she booked a room at Royal Plaza in a tower room, because the only rooms available at Disney were at POR and AK, and she just did not want to stay at either of them. She said she didn't want to give Disney the money for a room, and she wanted something a little more honeymoonish.

I guess I will eventually get over being so mad that I could spit nails, but it isn't going to be easy. Dale said we would get our APs, but most likely stay OP. He really enjoyed the Hilton when we stayed there.

It would be hard for me to start the paperwork all over again too. I'd have a bad taste in my mouth and I'd have to wait a while before I thought about it. As I said before, John would feel just like Dale.

I'm glad to hear that Amanda has something booked and can now move on to other things. As I know all too well, there's too many wedding preparations to work on and she doesn't have time to worry over her honeymoon.

So I am mostly over being angry at Disney, though I do still have a few moments of "deep, dark depression, excessive misery", I am working on those issues....

We have changed our dates to the last week of March so we can fit free dining in with the plans. The new dates are March 24 - March 30 and we are going to be at Pop with free QSD. This will be Tyler's first trip to Pop Century and I think he will like it. We looked at the moderate resorts, but we just don't want to pay the extra. We are going to buy our APs again at that time and we plan on getting one for Tyler too. We like the idea of not having to make all the ADRs for the dining plan and if we want we can just make an ADR when we are there.

I don't have our days planned out since the park hours haven't been released yet, but we usually end up at MK our first day. I have to call and make arrangements at the kennel for Niko since he can't stay with us. That is all I have for now, but I will be adding more later.

Amanda's wedding is a little over 2 months so that will be kicking into full gear before long.

Yeah, I hate it too, but everything happens for a reason. If I can't talk Dale into doing the paperwork again, I may just buy on my own and then charge him to stay with us.................... Dale wanted to make our trip the end of March so we can try and get 4 trips out of our APs. January 2014 sounds like a long time from now, but it will be here before we know it. Dale will be 52 in January 2014..............lol.

we renew our AP's on Oct 1st, and with the payment plan, Chris is all for it. How'd I get so lucky?? LOL I'd really hate to see DW's computer system on how much we went to the parks. When I first replaced our tickets in April I think it was, mine had 38 entrances on it. That was before our May trip, and the summer break!! I probably had close to 100 entrances on it!! It's sooooo easy to pop over for us. Wish you guys were closer, we'd spend more time with ya'll!! Leanne is close to Chris's side of the family, so when we go up there for Thanksgiving or Christmas, we're gonna go see them in their environment for once!! I can't wait!!

Girl 40 is the new 30, I will turn 51 that year so 40 is just a youngun. I really wish they would do the payment plan for all AP holders, it would make it so much easier than coming off with the $$ all at one time.

I'm glad to hear that you decided to go forward with the trip. I'm sure it will take a while to get over the mad/hurt/disappointed feeling but there's no place but Disney World to help make those feelings go away.

You are definitely right that wedding preparations are going to be kicking in full force soon. I'm still getting over Lacey's wedding.

I love me some Leanne and Joe!! Joe picks on Dale and I think it is just so funny, Dale is really a shy person(go figure how we ended up together ), and Joe pulls him out of it.

I am feeling good today, I have been really achy for the past few days and it starts getting me worried that I might have Fibromyalgia. Last year I was having bad bone pain and it turned out that my Vit D was REALLY low, like almost undetectable, but I know it isn't that now because I take mega doses of Vit D and Calcium. I tried to give blood on Wednesday, but my iron was not high enough, it was within normal limits, but too low to give blood. I tell ya, after I hit 45 my ole body started showing signs of wear and tear .

I enjoyed meeting Jenn in March and spending time with all of y'all at Epcot.

I know you had a great time yesterday with your friend at the park and I can't wait to see all the pix!!
