March Cheerleader Events

OK. So I had made up my mind and decided to go March 4 - 11. I just found on Mouseplanet that there are cheerleading competitions at both the beginning and ending of the week.

Cheer & Dance National Championships. March 3–5.
National All Star Cheerleading Championship. March 10–13

Anyone with any experience going during these events? Does anyone think this will make the parks very crowded?

Also, would a resort tell me if the cheerleaders were staying there do you think? The last thing I want is a resort full of screaming cheerleaders when my family is going down there to try to regroup. (And I mean absolutely no disrespect to cheerleaders or their families. Everyone is entitled to have their fun a t Disney. We would just rather avoid the crowds and any extra noise if possible.)

To sorta answer my own question, I am assuming that its not going to make much of a difference in the parks. Disney always seems to be having something going on. So I guess my main concern would be the resort to stay at. And I think that most of these types of groups stay at the All Star Resort. Though I am just guessing... anyone know more on this?

We will be there for the All Star Cheerleading event. The actual event is on Sat and Sun (March 11 and 12th). They compete at both MGM and Wide World of Sports. The cheerleading package is for the All Star resorts or Caribbean Beach Resort, although not everyone uses their package. I booked directly through Disney so I could get meal plan and saved $400 because I wanted to stay a whole week.
