March Check-In Thread!

I have decided to disneybound for the first time! I bought a yellow skirt today, a blue shirt and I have a red sweater- Snow White. When I told DH about this, he was excited and wants to do it too! :)

We are here! Getting ready for the day. Super tired, didn't get into our room until 12:30 am. Gonna be some dragging in energy, hopefully excitement and adrenaline will keep us going!

Add caffeine and a smile will keep your day moving in the right direction. Make sure to keep the kids hydrated and fed as they are the key to parental happiness...We will be there Sunday!

Exciting! You might want to take a little cat nap first. But if not I'm sure you'll be fine.
I know how that can be. For I almost never get enough sleep, going from Northern California to Anaheim. Which is why I wait until the next day to go to DLR. However with that said, lol My last visit, I decided on the day that I arrived to go and take care of my A P. I was going to then go back to the hotel, because I ended up only having a few hours sleep. However, let me tell you, after I took care of renewing my A P, instead of going back to take a nap, I looked in the direction of the entrance to Disney, and next thing you know, some kind of gravitational force compelled
me to move in that direction. So I did. Lol
Next thing you know at some point, I am waiting to set sail with the Pirates. There I was in the queue, with a slightly tired brain, thinking like maaan, am I really here? Or am i daydreaming because I'm so tired? Yep, definitely here! I ended up staying until closing, I think it was 11 p.m. at the time. I was tired, but ended up feeling good enough all the same. And hey, at least my hair looked cute too. Lol

Alright, finished up the work week and time to go into full vacation prep mode. We go to our local fair tomorrow (Ostrich Festival) and then two days of laundry and packing and double checking and more packing.

Still doing laundry to get ready to pack, too. I'm behind, as usual lol. I still need to print out all our reservation confirmations, tickets, etc and put them in my folder to bring along.

Tell me about this Ostrich Festival!
It is a local festival outside of Phoenix. It has the usual fair activities, plus concerts, shows (daredevil act, tiger show, sharks....) and ostrich races (hence the name). Apparently ostrich farming used to be a big thing in this area so the festival ties into that. It is a lot of fun, not Disney of course but a nice lead in. We have also convinced the kids not to blow a bunch of money on carnival games this year so they can save it for Disneyland the next week.

My wonderful husband surprised me with a trip to Disneyland later this month March 29-April 1 for our 9th Anniversary. I've had a couple of rough months with learning my grandfather had cancer and then his passing a month later. My husband wanted to cheer me up and make me smile :lovestruc

Just booked yesterday to go next weekend! March 20-23 for my son's 4th birthday and to see my little sister's choir sing at the park.

That's really sweet! I hope it's a really great trip for you.

Well, we are now at Disneyland-eve. Getting everything packed up today, last trip to Target to get Disney gift cards, spend the night trying to figure out what it is I am sure I forgot and then head out tomorrow. The Ostrich Festival was fun this weekend but I have to admit my wife and I remarked more than once as we were sitting in the sun watching the kids ride a ride how nice it will be to be on the ride, inside, at Disneyland. It seems like it took forever for the trip to get here this time but it helped getting to commiserate with others here. :)

4 days, 18 hours, and 53 minutes until I have to leave my house to catch my flight. I'm excited, and can't focus on work. Just let this week pass quickly. (Sorry for all the people there now, but I'm ready to get to leave).

We are here and having a great time. It was hot the first two days, but it's starting to break. We ran into the DIS unplugged/podcast team today at Disneyland and they were awesome! If I didn't have a job I loved I'd love to do what they do. Eat, sleep, ride Disney and repeat. It's crowded but if you use magic mornings, fast passes and have a plan it's great.

Currently at a cabana by the E ticket pool at the DLH and relaxing. I hope everyone's March goes as well as ours.

Mike

10 more days....ugh, If I think about it, time will drag. If I don't think about it...well I can't seem to do that, so it looks like time will drag!!!
