March Check-In Thread!

It must be something you can only get to with the club membership (which I don't have). You wouldn't happen to know the price for 4 day tickets (adult, chile) would you?

I would be interested in this too. :) I have tried every free LMT club membership code out there and all say invalid.

Can anyone confirm that you will indeed get 6.88% Cash back with Cheaptickets through Ebates? Is it considered Activity or Activity Package?
If you buy tickets alone it's considered and activity. If you reserve a hotel or purchase anything else in the same transaction as your tickets, it's considered an activity package. I always take screen shots of everything when making a purchase as large as tickets through Ebates, but I've never had to use them and always received my cash back with no problems.

We fly down on March 1st for dapper day, and DS has just started getting sick!!! Augh! He says his throat hurts when he swallows. Ugh.:guilty: :crazy2:

Oh, have him slam the Vitamins C and D3, plus consider getting some Sambucus (elderberry syrup). He has time to get better before you leave! Good luck!

Under a week here! Wooot!!!! Headed out today to pick up the last few items for our trip. The weather keeps changing so I'm not sure exactly what will we end up with. So I'm trying to decide if I should pick up an umbrella or not. So excited! I feel like a little kid...hard to sleep lol!!

I am starting to feel some anxiety about switching our hotel though. Am I going to regret staying so far away?? Our plan is to drive and park but is that going to be a huge pain?? We have never had a car out there, we have always flown before this. The afternoon nap is what I'm worried about. I'm wondering if we are really going to need to go back in the afternoon during the week though since the hours are only 10-8. I wonder if we just found somewhere quiet for my son to have a break from the hustle and bustle, maybe nap in the stroller. I just hate to think of leaving in the afternoon and losing a close spot and having to park way far away. :P

My DS used to do pretty well napping in his stroller when he was little. Animation Academy at CA was one of my favorite spots to sit with him while he slept. Once when he was having a hard time falling asleep, I clipped a jacket over the stroller with clothespins and just walked around until he finally crashed. It wasn't ideal napping, but he did pretty well and slept better at night.

Everyone is different with regards to naps when young. I have always done the afternoon nap/rest with my kids. It really made the whole experience more enjoyable. However now we are going when older 8 & 10. I'm not sure if they would nap...so it may be our 1st full day in park. A few of our days I have planned early dinners just for this reason/and parade or show in afternoon just to allow some down time from the hussle & bussle. If you have young (stroller age) kids I would say let them lead you. It doesn't matter if you miss a few hours in park if it keeps everyone happy. :flower1:

Well, we still have quite awhile, but a few more weeks and we'll be off! I'll get to hear about everyone's trips that go down before us, which'll be fun! :D

I've been working on creating playlists for the road trip... We're definitely gonna be listening to lots of Disney music to get us in the mood!

Thanks! I ended up going with Cheaptickets/Ebates, it ended up being a little better deal for our combination of tickets. I also got our ART passes from GetAwayToday and our reservation at our kennel for our pup so everything is all set now. It is such a relief, I got tired of stressing out about possible ticket price hikes and big Orbitz Ebates discounts that I am glad it is done and no going back now!

Yep, our kids used to nap but now we couldn't get them out of the parks if we tried. We tend to not be morning people so, while we miss the advantage of making the rope drop, we end up doing just fine getting to the parks a little later and staying until close. Mixing up some meals and more relaxing entertainment where they can sit for a while (parades, Great Moments w/ Mr. Lincoln, etc.) seems to help as well.

Which hotel did you switch to?

party:I just changed part of our stay to DLH! So excited!

I loved staying at DLH. We asked if there were any upgrades at check-in & they gave us a DTD view. So nice :)

This time we are staying at GC, I've never been. I'm excited, because I hear great things & the location on the park will be nice, but just judging by photos, I think I like the DLH rooms better

We have complementary experiences, LOL, since I have never stayed at DLH but we have stayed at GCH and absolutely loved it! It would have been my preference, but it can't convince my DH to pay for it...$650/night even with orbitz discount, ack! It looks like the room at GCH are a little smaller but they are laid out beautifully and the balcony is a huge plus for me. I do love the dark wood Mission style though. The location is just so amazing too. We overlooked the monorail and my kids could have spent all day watching it. :)

I did send some room requests to vacation planning yesterday, I hope we have a chance at a nice view and that it is warm enough for the pool!

Wait?!? You can request rooms ahead of time? Ours is just a standard room, but a relative of mine got them for me at like 240/night after tax & stuff. I could never afford $650/night

Oh my, I am so jealous of that rate. :)

I will PM you the email address.

My biggest concern is getting a horrible spot to park if we leave and come back. I'm kind of sad that it looks like Sunday might be rain since we were really hoping to swim on Sunday! Cross my fingers it doesn't and its somewhat warm. The pool is heated so that is nice.
We will just my son decide. Our stroller reclines all the way, and he is totally one to just randomly crash. I know for sure Saturday we will be going back to the hotel for a bit since it's the longest hours. I guess we will see what he does on monday with the shorter hours. I cannot wait to get out of here. I need a mental break from my life!
