Greetings everyone! I know a lot of people are going to WDW over March Break and I just wondered if anyone was interested in doing a photopass CD share. I organized a photopass CD share last March and it was great I loved having lots of family pictures in which we werent always missing one member of the family who was taking the picture. I will be in Florida from March 13 22 and my son is staying with the grandparents until March 31 in Florida. Anyone going those dates (or close to those dates) is welcome to join.
I think 7 people is maybe a good number. I think you can still pre-order the CD for $99.00 US and then I will charge everyone about $3.00 for the postage for me to mail the CD to you, the envelope and the CD. So if the photopass CD is about $120.00 CDN (factoring in the exchange rate) and then $3.00 per person for shipping that works out to about $140.00 CDN total and that is $20.00 CDN per person (if there are 7 of us).
I will order it around the 1st part of March. You can pay me either by paypal or also using a check (but not until around the beginning of March.) After I have received your payment in March, then I e-mail you the information about the photopass account and when you return from your trip, you enter the codes on the back of the photopass cards. I will assign everyone their own day to enter their codes so that the pictures are in order (ex. all of your pictures are grouped together) and then you will have a week or two to edit your pictures. Then, we order the CD and it comes to my house. I will then burn a copy for everyone and get them in the mail to you.
A word of caution it you plan on taking a massive number of pictures say, like 900 pictures, you may not want to join a photopass share. One of the ladies who joined my share last year was the last person to add her pictures to the account and she and her family had taken well over 900 pictures and it took her a long time to edit because as more pictures get added to the account, the system is slower to load up. When the 5 disks of pictures arrived the pictures of everyone except this lady were on disks 1 and 2 and then she alone managed to fill disks 2 5. There is no limit to the number of pictures that can go on one account. Just a word of caution!
Here is some important information (that I have copied from another post)
1. the whole group can only be less than 30 days apart start to finish, and the last person must upload on or before day 30 or the first day of the first persons pictures will be LOST!
2. DON'T open your own account and upload your photos just to take a peek at them. You can only upload the pictures once into one photopass account.
3. DO ask any photopass photographer to take your picture, and tell them you ordered the CD. Most will go nuts with the camera and shoot at will.
4. DO try to use the same card or two for multiple days so that you don't have 100 codes to enter. Take a picture of the photopass code on your photopass card using your own digital camera, so if you lose the photopass card, you will still have the code.
5. NO refunds after you have paid. You won't need to pay until early March. If you join our little photopass group and your plans change, please let me know so that I can find a replacement member.
