I will be on maternity leave during those months and thought maybe we could plan a trip. O wonder how the crowds are during this time? I know every state has different spring break periods for school, but just wondered what experience you all have with any of these months? :earsboy:

In my opinion, LATE April into early May is the BEST time to go!! Weather is GREAT, the are people, but the wait times are low, never had a problem getting ADRs!! In 2005 we went 5/9 to 5/17, in 2006 we are going 4/29 to 5/7 (AP expiration 5/9/06!!)

March and April can run into college and HS spring breaks (and other school). We often go the 1st week in March, DH colleges spring break. The crowds aren't bad, but the prices aren't great. (peak season.)

May on the other hand is lovley. The weather is more consistant, warm, not killer hot. Sunny, not as rainy as summer. Crowds are good, schools are in for the most part.

May is great. It might work better to since it will be near the end of your maternity leave so the baby will be older. (and you more recoved.) There is no way I could go to WDW 6 weeks after my baby was born. I had a hard time going to the mall. ;)

I am all for taking babies, but older is better. (same goes for leaving them with Grandparents.)

I think around may would be a good time. Reiterating what the other poster said, April and March are the spring break/Easter vacations (dd's spring break is the end of March, so we'll definitely be there.)

As for taking your 6 week old, I know you didn't ask for an opinion about that, but since it was brought up, as long as you think you can do it and your doctor has okayed it then why not. We took DD (2) when she was around 2 months old and it was fine. It was around that same time frame too, so perfect weather and crowds. Then we went again when she was 6 months old.

Of course I was just guessing with the six weeks things. For all I know these 3 months are the last 3 months she has off and she has more then 3 off. I took a vaction (car trip to Virginia Beach) to visist family and play on the beach when my oldest was 12 weeks old (it was the last part of my maternity leave.)

Heck maybe she is adopting and the child will be much older. We don't know yet. Sorry for the assuption, just giving my situation and feeling. No one had really prepared me for how hard recovery form birth could be. (let alone adjustment to our new member of the family.) :)

Oh I forgot my favoritie thing about May. The flower and garden festivil at Epcot. I love it. For that reason alone May is a good choice. :rose: :flower2:

Early March and late April/early May are both great times to go.

Congrats and good luck!

If planning for April, don't go before the 22rd. The two weeks around Easter are supposed to be some of the busiest times.
