March 7, 2010 4 Night Wonder

:cool1:Finally got our documents and luggage tags, I put them on our bags yesterday:banana: I feels real now!!!:cool1:

I can't wait any longer I'm so anxious to be on the Wonder again!!

I've got most of my outfits picked out now to get them all washed and ready for packing.

I pick up my dress tomorrow (well it's ready tomorrow not sure if I'll be home in time from work until they close) hopefully they did a good job since I payed $40.00 to get it hemmed.:scared1:

Only 18 days until we leave for Country Inn and Suites!!!:banana::banana:

Also looks like our cruise is booked, atleast from the website today you can't book it. I'm suprised we don't have more in our Dismeet and FE exchange guess there will be a lot of non-diser's on the cruise. Last year we had a nice list of FE exchange participants.

Did we decided when and where we are going to meet? We plan on arriving at the port as early as the shuttle allows us. I might get there earlier than DBF, have him drop me off along with luggage and then take the shuttle back. Haven't figured that out yet.

Not sure what the first nights show is yet since Golden Mickey's is gone. If we will be lucky enough to get the new villians show, or the other fill-in show. Haven't seen a recent navigators without Golden Mickey's.

Ok one more lol

For anyone staying at Country Inn and Suites that booked through price line like I did.

I called for a third time just now and asked about the shuttle, and she said it's included, no aditional charge.

Also the Shuttle runs at 10:00, 11:00, and 12:00 for Disney terminal that Sunday March 7th.

If it's that early then we will both be getting on the 10:00 shuttle YAY!!

Looks like we will be seeing Golden mickeys this cruise the second night for some reason I thought the wonder had the fill in show until the new one. But someone told me that we will still see the Golden Mickeys. We will not be watching it though since we've seen it twice we will do other things that night. But anyone that hasn't seen it yet I would highly reccommend seeing this show! It's amazing

Yay for a 10:00 shuttle, if that is the case we may be joining you on the shuttle!!! :cool1: I am in the process of finalizing a dog boarder for our furbaby since our other pet sitter was going to watch him at her house.

I will be happy if the Golden Mickeys show is on, because I think that Carlee would be scared of a villians show.

GREAT!! It's a perfect time! Have you called and asked them about the park and shuttle thing if you book through priceline? I have called three times and have gotten the same answer but threads on this board say it's extra $20. Let me know. I guess they changed their policy.

If I wasn't going on this same cruise I would watch your dog for you. I dogsit friends dogs and nanny during the day when I'm not in school.

I have two dogs as previously stated. I wish I could have more but they get expensive.

I gave up facebook for lent so my countdown on there has stopped and now I'm on the DIS boards constantly! :rotfl: Really! We are planning on getting to Port Canaveral early - around 11am. Glad to know we can see Golden Mickeys - this is our first Disney cruise and that was a show I really wanted to see. Any more scoop on activities on our ship? I feel like I made a mistake with our Palo reservation on the third night - same as the pirate party - what time does that kick off? Will the kids miss something at dinner that night? Thanks for everyones help!

what time is your reservation for Palo that night? The pirate party doesnt start til pretty late. last time we cruised it was cold and windy and Lindsey and I went to our cabin and Jason and Ty went...they came home with a plate full of chocolate desserts from the buffet only to find me double fistiing mickey bars from room service- my excuse was that I ordered one for lindsey but she was sleeping so I HAD to eat both...we still laugh about it.

So, I missed the pirate party last time. I hope I cn stay up later this cruise. Jason and i want to try to do some of the adult activities at night but I am always beat by 10:00.

We will be at port by 10:00 am. I loved being one of the first on the ship last time and when waiting in the terminal (last time) some characters came out so it was a pic opportunity...just being there is fun... and it sounds like some of our FE friends will be there early too so we can meet there even if "informal".

When do you depart NJ for your trip? Are you doing any of the parks or just the cruise? We leave PA on March 5th- two weeks from today.

Hey Jackie! What was I thinking giving up fb??? :surfweb: I feel so out of the loop now. Thanks for your input - we are very alike. I'm usually beat by 10pm myself so not sure if the Pirate Party will be for us especially with my 5 year old. I may be up to my elbows with some Mickey ice cream myself! I love that story! :lmao: I guess I'll keep our Palo reservation - nothing goes on at dinner during the pirate night for the kids? As far as meeting up at the port, that sounds good. We are flying down Saturday and staying at a local hotel. I didn't know you've cruised before - glad to know arriving early could be a bonus. Any other tips? 15 days!!!! :woohoo: After the cruise, we are staying at Disney two nights & going to Magic kingdom for a day - we all did the "give a day, get a day". How about you?

Hi Tara- we did the give a day get a day too!! We made blankets for the Linus Project. Imagine my son tying the knots - it was funny!
We will be at the Bay Lake Towers for one night after the cruise. My daughter's best friend will be there so we are meeting them for dinner at Ohana- our favorite restaurant.
We loved getting to port early - just being there is fun and if we all see eachother it will be neat to get to know everyone so quickly - seeing familiar faces on the cruise is always nice:)

tips for day of leaving port- if weather permits - pack or have the kids wear bathing suits bc they may want to swim after they eat - my kids did that last year and it was great - they had the pool to themselves.

download and print your cruise documents and sign the kids up on line for the kids' club. this saves time at port.

bring bottled water

hang a white board outside your door for notes -

will think of more :)

2 weeks until our cruise!!! I cannot believe it has been coming up this fast!!! Only 7 more work days until we leave for Florida to visit family. We finally have everything in order; our hotel at CIS w/a kids suite from priceline ( in which we do not have to pay for parking, I called and checked), a place to board our dog with cameras, DH's unit finally gave us the okay for his approved leave time.

Even with minor mishaps this past week like my husbands car breaking and us having to rent a car and get it fixed this coming week, we are finally set. We are doing Sea world and Kennedy Space Center and hopefully my family can come up to Port Canaveral before we leave on Sunday. It will be our family's last chance to see DH before he leaves for deployment so there will be mixed emotions too. I am looking forward to the FE, and even DH is starting get into when I showed him the pics of the exchange.

Hello, we just found out that we are going to be on this cruise. My 7yr old has wanted to go on a Disney Cruise and was just granted this trip by The Make A Wish Foundation.
We only know that we are on the cruise but nothing else, make a wish is throwing a going away party for our son next week to surprise him with this trip.
Our itinerary and any other info will be given to us then, not much time for any planning after that. So any insite from you cruise veterans would be helpful.
There are 4 of us Me(47) DW(29) but her birthday is the day we sail DS(10) and DS(7). My wife is wanting to know what the FE's are and how can we get involved. We want this to be a vacation that our 7yr old will never forget. Thanks for any information we can get.

I am glad that you found us on here, welcome! Do you know if MAW is planning anything for you guys on the cruise, shore excursions? If you are looking for any info on the cruise itself make sure you check out the Disney website and search for Wonder and shore excursions.

I just re-read your post and realized that you will not know anymore info until next week. Since most of us have been planning our cruises for quite some time, I will post some threads that have been helpful to us, including reviews of shore excursions, and great packing tips. Now I have never been on a Disney cruise, so I could be completely wrong on all of this.

That's good to hear you got the sane free parking answer I did. I was worried I was getting the wrong answer.

I've decided to do my own hair for dress up night. I found a cute updo I'm going to try on my hair that night.

Are we still planning on a meet at 3:00 in the promanade lounge?

I'm getting excited!! We go camping next weekend for the first time with our puppies. I booked it the weekend before the cruise hoping it would help make time go by faster.

Thank you so much for the links, I have been looking over them and have learned alot already.
So much to do and so little time to do it. We will find out next Saturday what our itinerary is, MAW has not said anything about doing anything on the ship or before boarding.
I know we fly to Orlando on Mar 6th and stay the night at the airports hotel and take Disney transportation over to Port Canaveral on Sunday AM

I just cannot sleep tonight because I keep looking up things for the cruise!! We decided not to go to Atlantis this time because dd is only 2 and cannot go on a lot of the slides or anything, and we do not want to leave her in Flounders the whole day. Another thing I was wondering, I know that Alice in Wonderland premieres on March 5th, but do you think they will show it on our cruise?

My guess is they will show this the night they don't have a regular show in the Walt Disney Theater and they will probably show it in 3D. That is what happened on our cruise last year (at that time it was BOLT).

I wish toy story 3 was going to premier on the ship. I think Alice in Wonderland looks scary!!!

Besides looking forward to this vacation, I am really looking forward to meeting all of you...you have become my disboard family!!! and since the rest of my family (except lindsey) thinks I am nuts, I really appreciate you.

Can't wait to board....:cool1:
