March 6th, 2010 7 Night Western

So does anyone on this cruise like sports. My favorite sport is basketball, but with my favorite team not doing well this season it has become kind of boring. I also follow the NJ Devils, don't watch them much, but if I can catch a game of theirs I will. Not sure how they are doing since I got home from vacation, but before I went they were doing pretty well. They do pretty well every year I can remember, maybe not the best every year and seems like the same this year.:cool1:

Hope everyone is doing well

If you are arriving the day before where are thinking of staying? Why? We are leaning towards Country Inn.

We are currently booked at the Fairfield Inn and Suites at Kennedy Space Center. Its a few miles away, but we'll have a car to drop off at Avis the morning of the cruise and get shuttled over. Gotta use those Marriot Points!

My flight was changed to arrive at MCO at 2:00 PM....so I am toying with grabbing an annual pass rate at one of the all stars for the night and enjoying another evening in Disneyworld.

We're using our hotel points also. We will stay at the Doubletree in Cocoa Beach. It was pretty nice, manager's reception in the evening and free breakfast. Now I need to look for a good rental car rate!

The best rates I have found so far are through Avis with code K199060.

We only need a compact and the rate was 72.00 after taxes.

The larger cars were discounted as well, but I don't remember those rates.

We are staying at the Hyatt at the airport (MCO) i think. We were going to stay near the port but Allegiant Air changed from flying into Sanford to now flying into Orlando. The last cruise we stayed at Residence Inn Cape Canaveral Cocoa Beach near the port. It was nice and they have a shuttle to and from the port, for a small fee. They also allow you to park your car there for the week for free while you are on the cruise. We will be taking a shuttle from MCO to the port this time.

Where are you taking the rental car from and for how long? I can normally find some pretty good rates.

we will prob be staying in a disney hotel and going to disney world friday Epcot and Magic Kingdom and we will be renting a car and driving to port early saturday:goodvibes

You can tell it is getting closer because everyone is firming up pre cruise plans. It will be here before we know it!

I'm kind of sad, from talking with Pikey when I was on the Wonder December 10th-December 13th, 2009 he said he was on vacation during that time, although things can change I know, but it will be a werid cruise without Pikey:lmao:

So my dad and I are finally paid in full/ I booked Palo brunch for us on Key West day, figured after a nice brunch we could walk off all that food in Key West:thumbsup2:cool1::goodvibes:goodvibes

We will finally be able to book our Palo late tonight! That is, if there are any times left! I was reading about this process and the book said that we would be unable to make a dinner "and" a brunch reservation. Is this correct?

Also, I have been unable to even go up on the Disney site and look at the shore excursions to make my decisions. Am I doing something wrong or is this the norm?

I am very interested in spa reservations. Will there be spa packages available? Is it better to buy a package?

Lastly for now, what are the important things to sign the kids age 3,6,10,13 up for tonight? Things that should be done right away?

Anyone that can help, it would sure make things easier for me if I could get some advice. Thanks!!! Finally, tonight is the night for us newbies! Now I realize I generally "don't have a clue" HOW to do it and what is important to do first!

Hi. this will be my family's first cruise together. It will be me (41) dh (41) and my son ds (10). I cannot wait to get to the warm weather. we had 12 inches of snow yesterday......:cool1::cool1:

Grand Cayman
We have done the Native Way Water sports Tour before and thought it was great. We would like to do it again.

I am trying to get together 16 people for snorkeling at the Reef and Rum Point tour. There are 7 people in our group and we need 16.
If you would like to go with us just PM me or email me at tlguinn_2000@hotmail.com

It would include lunch at Rum Point.

Here are some pictures of us at Rum Point
Rum Point

Cost $57 (the one with Disney is $95 per person)

Haven't posted in a long time... things have been busy around here just got back from disney and MVMCP this past week. Weather is great in FL right now. Still waiting for FL residents rate for me to confirm booking. Should only be two more weeks. That's when we book our previous march cruise!! Can't wait!! On our cruise last year the water at CC was ice cold still, we did go snorkling but couldn't stay in very long!! Hoping this year is better but prob not.

Welcome to all the new families that joined!! I did FE exchange for my past 2 cruisies so if anyone needs help I can try to answer any questions.

Does anyone know how book a dolphin swim without Disney ( they are all booked already). I tried to book through company but they would not let me because Disney will not let them book any cruise people. Really wanted my kids to experience this.:confused3

Which port? There is a thread over on the main board about the dolphin encounter.
