I took my son and GD to WDW in January and stayed at WL and AKL. I'm making solo trips in May and Dec and will be taking my other son and D-I-L in late Sept-early Oct. With four trips this year, the AP paid for itself and if AP Codes come out it will be an extra perk, but if not I'm still glad I got it.
With four trips there was no way I could justify a deluxe resort for my solo trip in May, so booked May 14th-May 21st at POP Century.

My plan was that if AP Codes come out to upgrade and if not to stay with POP.
When I spoke with a CM a few weeks ago, I was told AP codes should be out soon. She then hesitated and said 'Oh wait a minute, you're coming in May. Oh well, some codes for May may still come out.' When I asked what she meant, she went from being very friendly to trying to immediately get off the phone. She finally said they were filling up for May extremely quickly and most CMs felt if Codes came out they would be for June, as they weren't needed for May. She also said if codes came out they would probably be for AP holders and Florida residents only, at least until they saw how the summer months were doing. Hopefully she is not someone in the know and is only guessing.
Anyway I wasn't thrilled about staying at POP anyway, so decided to try to rent DVC points to stay in the Epcot area. I got lucky and am staying May 15th-May 21st in a Studio at BWV for only

$117.00/night (no tax for DVC) for five nights. That still leaves me at POP for two nights, but that's OK. If codes come out, I plan to add two more nights at POP for a total of 9 nights and if codes don't come out, then I'm OK with paying $110.38/night (with tax) at POP, although it seems ridiculous to be paying only $6.62/night more for a Deluxe resort in the Epcot area than for a Value resort that's close to nothing.
Hopefully the CM I spoke with is wrong and we'll all get the codes we want.
