March 5th-12th... competitions?

I will be at WDW 3/5-3/12... I heard the parks are more crowded than usual in the past couple weeks. Are there any competitions that I should be aware of? I went online and checked the price for the same week... and it looks only only preferred rooms are left??? Anyone know what's going on?

I think a lot of colleges have their spring breaks starting March5th.

Most around my college have their break a week after ours lets out. Ours starts the 5th and I'm going from the 5th-10th. My friends' schools lets out when I get back.

There is a cheerleading/dance team competition at universal during that time.
My niece will be there
