March 5, 2011 - Bushwacker Wild Wild Westerners

I'll bring some King Cake just for you.

I miss it! I worked with a friend from Slidell and she always ordered a King Cake from one of the bakeries down there. It was yummy!

I signed on and was able to get Palo brunch and could have done dinner if we wanted. The only thing that was full was the High Tea.

Wahoo!!!! :cool1:

Signed on and got dinner reservations on the 6th at 7. Anyone else? When can we reserve Tea With Wendy? Do we have to wait until we are on the ship or can we book this ahead of time?

Yeah!!! I got in and got (almost) everything we wanted. Cydi -- you can't get the Tea with Alice tickets until you get on the ship. It is starting to seem real now!!

That is going to be one of the things I have to make sure to do once we board!

What's everyone doing for an excursion at Cozumel? We've made a reserveration with the Xcaret Eco park. My wife and I had done the Tulum site during our honeymoon, and we remembered the very long bus ride (on quite narrow roads), so we didn't think the kids would enjoy that.

Has anyone done jetski at Key West? Apparently it's there, but not an official Disney excursion... Just wondering.

We are doing Stingray City at Grand Cayman, as we had also done that during out honeymoon, and we think it's a great time for family.

I don't know if I had posted before, but we aren't planning any excursions on this trip. The girls are still young and our oldest hasn't gained confidence in the water so sitting anywhere for an amount of time or going to the beach would be less than relaxing! Hopefully next time!

We are going to spend time on the ship getting familiar with it. I did book brunch and a spa experience and hope to book more on board with in-port specials!

Hi everyone,

We are cruising on March 5th. This is our 3rd DCL cruise and we took this same cruise in Oct 2009.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a Cozumel excursion?

My husband will probably take my DS-14, Nephew-14, DS-12. I will probably hang out with my DS-6 on the boat.

Thanks!
Nancy

:) Thanks, Johnna!

:welcome: Nancy and family!!!!

Things have been SOOOOO busy around here that I haven't even had a chance to finish our online checkin. Is anyone else having the same problem?

As far as excursions, the only one I have booked is the Champagne Sunset Sail on Key West. At Grand Cayman, we will probably just go to Seven Mile Beach on our own and do a little shopping. I have no idea what we'll do at Cozumel. We are not big fans of Mexico so we might just stay on the ship.

We are celebrating Christmas tonight with our son, his wife, and our daughter as our DD just made it home for the holidays. :yay: Then we'll start taking down Christmas decorations tomorrow and Saturday. Have another family celebration Saturday night; Russell's birthday is Sunday; take Kristin back to KC Monday night for an early morning flight out Tuesday; then Russell and I head back to KC Wednesday night for our flight to Florida on Thursday morning for the WDW Half Marathon!!!!! Not too mention the year end bookkeeping for our farm I need to finish as well as packing, cleaning, getting our dog settled at my sister's and 101 other things I'm sure I'm forgetting.

But, before I forgot, I wanted to wish everyone a HAPPY NEW YEAR!

We are doing the Pirate Encounter in Grand Cayman and a Dolphin Swim in Cozumel. I think we will just buy tickets for the trolley in Key West and do a little sightseeing/shopping.

This is our 3rd cruise too! I have two boys similar in ages 12 and 9. We decided to do the Fury Catamaran and Beach trip. It takes two thing we love and puts them into one. Snorkeling on a Catamaran and playing on the beach. The beach part looks really fun for the boys as they have inflatable toys in the ocean for jumping, climbing and sliding into the ocean. This excursion got a 10 rating from folks that had been on in from Passporters.

Happy New Year everyone! Have a safe holiday. Can't believe we will be in 2011 and getting closer to our trip. Boy I hope its warmer than the weather they have been having in the Southeast.
