March 31-April 7, 2007 Eastern...3rd try :-)

Five of us will be there from EP Minnesota (boys age 14, 9, 4). We'll be at the Beach Club on Thursday and Friday night. I think we'll be at AK on Friday but not sure. Budget rental driving down to the port on Saturday morning. Deck 2 connecting cabins somewhere in the back.

Orient Beach plans at St. Martin (on our own) - we'll rent a chair, have lunch, cocktails, waverunners, boogie boards. Then the next day, we have a private daysail booked with Scubadu - a nice catmaran. Looking forward to it. Maybe we'll run into a few of our fellow cruisers from the Twin Cities on board.

Happy travels everyone!!

Happy travels everyone!!

If you have not done it yet make sure you run to Expedition Everest when you get to AK. Those fastpasses go fast. I have not gone to see the New Nemo show...I have heard mixed reviews, but my daughter took dance lessons from Dory.

Enjoy your two days of pre-cruise vacation.

If anyone was holding out for the parasailing on Castaway Cay then sorry :-( I just got the phone call today that it was cancelled for our cruise. We are going to try to book something on St. Marteen once onboard.

We've seen Nemo at AK. We think that it is good but a couple of acts too long and not a "must see". Regarding Everest, we have found that if you get there early in the morning, standby line is not too bad. If you get a fastpass though, the return is usually pretty late towards noon...

I can barely believe it is a week away to our trip. Our DD8 is so excited and can't stop asking how much longer till we go. The boys are ready too. They want to snorkel and go to the beach. So I think we will go to orient bay and go shopping the next day. We got our papers too. It was kind of weird...we have two rooms and the papers came on different days. We are in rooms 2100 and 2111 not connecting but close to each other. What kind of wine is good for cruising White or Red. :dancer:

We are ready to cruise!!!

As far as wine goes, we're bringing reds...but white sounds good...so does the occasional Bahama Mama...margarita tasting anyone??? :rotfl:

dpuck- Why no parasailing on CC? Is that for everyone or were you on a waiting list?

We have decided to cancel our Doubloon Sail and Snorkle excursion in St. Thomas due to lack of interest on the part of our teens. They want to find a beach and boogie board. And that's what they want to do in St. Maarten too. Hmmm...parents want to relax with cocktails, kids want to boogie board at the beach. Sounds like a vacation! If anyone is interested in the Doubloon, we have 7 spots reserved. I can wait until Monday or Tuesday to cancel if anyone wants to rab our spots.

Think we will try Orient Bay too. Though I need to convince one of our families that the nudity won't really be that big of an issue. Right???

We have Palo ressies for brunch on Monday, dinner on Wednesday and High Tea on Thursday. We also have spa villa ressies but my sister and I may use the Couples Choice ressie as DH isn't all that fired up about it.

Still working on signs and gift bags - plan to finish those in the next couple of days. Our three families (the adults!) are getting together tonight for a pre-cruise pow-wow. We have big decisions to make like what kind of red wine we are bringing and who is attending the margarita tasting? :cool1:

Looking forward to meeting up with you guys. We'll try to get up to Deck 10 portside on Saturday. Should be lots of fun!

Anyone at the Residence Inn Friday night?

Yep we got the call last night too...bummer! That is the one thing I've always wanted to do!:sad2:

Minnie, we're at Residence Inn Friday night too and I'll definately be looking into the margarita tasting this time. As for wine, we aren't going to haul it with us from CA but maybe we'll grab a bottle or 2 somewhere locally. Since I've never done a cruise out of Florida not sure if they are the same wines when we cruised the Magic in CA (which were REALLY good!)
Still haven't picked out excursions on the other islands but cocktails and a beach does sound like heaven to me!!!1 :woohoo:

Wooohooo! I can't believe we'll all be boarding ONE WEEK FROM TODAY!

Omg, I'm so excited. My plane lands in Orlando at 1:22 so...yikes!

I just booked a cabana massage on Castaway Cay. That's the only thing i've booked so far. :)

*bump*
I'll be wearing a green shirt and khaki capris. I'll be looking for you guys on Deck 10!

Chantelle

Thought I'd bump us up.

Also, do I understand this correctly -

We can bring bottled water, wine and beer aboard the ship???

If so, how much bottled water? 1 case? 2 cases?

How much wine?

Beer?

We're arriving Friday afternoon into Cape Canaveral and staying at the Residence Inn. Is there any place close to go buy this stuff?

To update the list, we're in Room 5518.

Not sure what we will be wearing yet, but we plan on attending the DISmeet.

Got WAY TOO MUCH on the floor to be packed.

Targhee

I don't know if there is an actual limit but I would guess it's whatever you can carry onboard with you. We plan on carrying on 3-4 bottles of wine and Dh may pick up a 12-pack of beer. We'll drink the water from the ship - did last time and it was fine for us. I've heard they don't want liquids in checked luggage in order to protect others' luggage from getting a potential soaking. But I imagine people do it anyway!

As far as where to buy your refreshments, there is a Publix store on the way to the port and I'm sure there are plenty of places right in Cocoa Beach. We are staying at the Residence Inn as well and will be out picking up supplies on Friday afternoon!

Is everyone getting packed??? My bedroom floor is a disaaster!:scared:

We just bring two or three bottles and refill them with the ships water as Minnesota said.

There is a Wal-mart near the port as well as a publix. I do not know what the proximatey to the Residence Inn is.

My husband was packing things up lat night as I was finishing up our door signs and hats for our door mickey ears.

I will update our list with room numbers and such later today...if my DD gives me the time to do it. I will definately finish by Weds as I know some are leaving Thursday.

Targhee we are on the same deck just I am aft and I believe you are forward.

Asked DW about status of packing -- reponse: just worry about your own stuff. :rotfl2:

DS doesn't even know we are going. He wouldn't be able to concentrate all week. At this point he has a test on Friday so I think we will tell him when we pick him up early for the airport. :rolleyes1

Don't think i'll win on the green Mickeys so I'll come up with another plan for what we wear.

I plan on trying to make the meet, but I have idea what I will wearing. At this point, I am not even sure what I am packing...I bought so many different things for myself and my daughter I think I have started to confuse them in my head (hopefully only in my head, or I will be easy to spot in the shirt and skirt meant for a 6 year-old). Did anyone else have the joy of having to complete a educational absense form to take you child out of school for the trip? Due to school closings, my daughter has one make up day that overlaps the trip, and I had to fill out the form to make sure she doesn't get an unexcused absense...Oh well, only three more work days for me until we leave for Florida, YIPPEE!:cheer2: BTW we are in 2011 (don't laugh) and will be staying at the Radisson on Friday night.

I don't have anything to say...just wanted to look at my countdown clock!

We are at the Residence Inn too! Arriving on Thursday evening late. Planning on bringing on the rolling cooler with a couple bottles of wine and some water bottles!

Anybody of the DISBOARDers on this cruise that was on the West Coast cruise (first time I have been on the boards since the last trip!)?
