This group is busy! I can't believe that we get on a plane in two weeks and a boat a few days later!

Lots to plan. A quick question: When is the Monday brunch?

Thanks,

Hart

The brunch on Monday is at 10:30am.

EWWWW:scared: ! They're calling for 6-10 inches of snow this evening! It looks pretty awful outside  - can't wait to get onto the ship!!:beach:

We haven't heard about our docs coming in yet, but we have got our cabin number. 5501. Looks like one of the cabines turn on its side. From the reviews I've read, they seem more spacious, so I'm alright with that room. My only concern is that it's on the end of the ship and sometimes there is more movement on the ends...any ideas?

BTW, could whomever is in charge of the "list" update our room number for me?

Thanks,

Mike

DUncle's docs came to our house - but NOT OURS!!!! :scared1: So what if he's in a different cabin??? We booked all at the same time - what's up with that??????????? :confused3

DS and DD are looking over my shoulders and I told them they could each pick a smilie so here goes:

DS picked: :jumping1:
DD picked: :rockband:

They both really like this one too: :dance3:

Ciao for now!!

Thanks,

I hope you don't get what we did. We have had about 6 inches (over double that a half hour away) but the worst has been the wind. It looked like a blizzard all day. Schools closed and lots of cabin fever. Two weeks from today we arrive at WDW. Can't wait.

Doing the document dance:cool1: Well at least my husband and two sons are. Hope the second room's documments come tomorrow!

Help me out here. When people are talking about St Martin I see "water taxi" alot. What's that all about? :confused3 Sorry I've been to St Martin once and just took the regular taxi to I think Mullet beach? Too long ago to remember the name for sure but I think that was it.

No docs here either :sad2: No upgrades either but we did get our cabin assignment. We booked a gty cat 6 and DCL gave us 6058. :cool1: We're right next door to mommykeg's family.
We booked through Costco so I'm assuming the docs are sent to them and Costco sends them to us.

We booked through Costco too! Did you pay w/ a Disney Visa? And if so, did you get the onboard credit? They called us a few weeks ago saying they weren't going to give us the credit because we didn't pay for the entire cruise when we first booked (we paid a deposit and then the balance when it was due). But they NEVER told us we had to pay all at once to get the credit or we would've done just that!

Hart - What area on the east coast are you in? We are in Washington County MD (near Frederick, MD) and I can't say for sure how much snow/ice we got because I'm not leaving my house today!!! Hmmm - today is a good day to call Costco and fight for the credit.... ;)

:surfweb: Every day I log on the Disney's site to see if our stateroom # changed (we are on deck 7 but at the VERY end of the ship) and so far it hasn't. But I also check to see if they ship is full - here's what I got today (2/14):
If you say you have 3 adults and 1 baby (which is what my stateroom actually is) it shows categories 9-12 all available. Take the baby out of the equation and it shows categories 5,6,9-12 all available. That's GREAT news! If it stays that way, we are going to try to upgrade at port because I heard that was cheaper than doing an upgrade now. I can't wait! I just downloaded the ultimate packing list and will edit it today for our needs so we can start packing...

Yes, we booked with a Disney Visa. We paid the $1000 dep in 9/06 and the balance in 11/06. When initially booking we told the Costco rep it was a Disney Visa and she gave the info to the DCL CM and then told us $50 credit would be applied. After reading your post this morning I called DCL directly, gave them my ressie # and the DCL CM told me the $50 credit was on my account. Was it Costco who called you a few weeks ago pr DCL? It's my understanding that the $50 credit comes from DCL, not Costco. I would call DCL directly or bring copies of your credit card statements when you board and ask that the credit be applied. Good luck! :thumbsup2

We are outside Chicago, IL and ended up with over 8 inches yesterday. Storms like this seem to hit you about a day after us. You get the extra fun of things moving up the coast but we trade that for more cold days. Last day above freezing here was in January and it was 2 when I drove to work. I figure if I complain enough about snow and cold the cruise will feel all that much better.

Good luck with Costco and the weather.

Hi all from icy and snowy NY. BRRRRRR....We are home on our first snow day of the school calendar year!!!

We are in cabin 6049...right down the hall from MrSanderz and Mommykeg!

Mommykeg: I am the inclusion teacher for kindergarten and 1st grade in our building...I taught self-contained special education for 12 years and inclusion for the last 2. Speaking of being teachers...how are you swinging the days off for the cruise...are you guys on spring recess then? I saved my 3 personal days and using 2 sick days...

ST Maarten plans: We are planning on jetskiing in St Maarten either at great bay or little divi also...I think Great Bay has the water trampoline climbing thing etc, if I am not mistaken.

Giving a shout out to all my fellow list makers and packers... how's this for packing...I have been packed since Jan 15th...so I think I may have beaten you all to the suitcase.... But sadly, that is only because we were scheduled to sail on 1/20 and our daughter got sick and we had to cancel...When we came home from the hospital, I threw whatever was left in my living room lying around into my suitcase and zipped them up and put them away packed....So I am going to have to do some re-organzing and such...but the bulk of it is done...actually, I probably should be taking them down again.....so in our disappointment of not crusing back in January, we found the Magical Maniac Mob of March 3rd .. .that was the one nice thing out of not going....also I guess instead of it being a month SINCE our cruise..we are now happily 2 weeks and a few days CLOSER to cruising!!!

Just a reminder...I have some foam lime green Mickey Heads to pass out to everyone....they have pin backs so you can pin them to lanyard, clothing, etc...But it looks as though I may be the last of us boarding the ship and joining you at our onboard meet since we don't arrive Orlando until noon on Saturday...and that is with the north weather systems cooperating...I sooo wanted to leave on Friday to avoid a late Saturday arrival, but it was the only way we could swing it with work and all...Anybody else planning on arriving in the mid to late afternoon on Saturday?

Happy Valentine's Day to all.

Michelle

Hello from an icy and sleety (is that a word?:confused3 ) Nation's Capital. Schools are cancelled and work is a ghost town, but I'm not home with the kids    because I'm sure my daughter and I would be pulling out each other's hair by now. But she's home and behaving beautifully for her dad! What's that about??? She pushes every single button I have, but barely even knows that Mark HAS buttons!!

Anyway - we'll hopefully get our Docs tonight - our UPS usually doesn't come until 6:00 or so, so we'll post later if they arrive.

You all are so busy planning your excursions, but the Storys are just taking it easy this year. We will probably go to a beach at St. Maarten on our own, and just to hang out. We're not so much into water sports, esp. since the kids are so young still. And hopefully the submarine tour at St. Thomas will be more successful this year (ask, or don't ask - or check our our trip report:

Time to go order gift baskets for the kids!!! :yay:
Have a good day... Johnna

Celeste our TA from AAA just called and said that our documents have arrived and are ready for pick up:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:. See you all in 2 1/2
weeks.

Talk at you later...

Rebecca - Thanks for the great advice! DH spent more than an hour on the phone with Costco and had to get two call backs to say that Costco has changed their policy and no longer will give the onboard credit unless you pay everything up front. When DH pointed out that they never told us that when we booked, they offered us a gift card but that was weeks ago and we never got it. Anywho, I called DCL direct and within moments, the credit was applied! :thumbsup2

Alanas docs came today! Now, we just have to see if my Moms have come to her yet.

O.K. all you March Manic's...we are just alittle over 2 weeks from sailing and I found us in the middle of page 2!!!!! Whats up with that????

Maybe cupid has struck, and everybody has been swept off their feet!!!!

Unfortunately...I'm still standing:lmao: :lmao:

 Hope everyone had a great Valentines Day:love:

Michelle

I teach at a year-round school in California, so I am "off-track," meaning on vacation, in November, March, and July. My own two kids, though, attend a private school with a traditional school calendar, so they will miss 6 days of school for this cruise.

How old is your DD?

Still stressing about St. Maarten...but I guess I don't really have to decide between Great Bay Beach and Little Divi til we get there, so I should stop stressing!!!;)

I sure wish I was all packed! I do have 4 big tubs (one for each family member) that I am filling with stuff not to be touched again until the cruise. As I remember things, I throw them in the tubs. Hopefully, this will make packing quicker than it was for our first cruise!

No Cupid striking here, though Andrew did give me a card this morning!
I'm stuck at work, while Andrew and Alana are watching Kathryn play the caterpillar in "Alice In Wonderland" at school.:sad1: I'm taking a couple hours off tomorrow night to see it though.
We'll have a nice dinner at Palo in about 2 1/2 weeks and just pretend it's Valentines day!
