Castaway Cay day!! I had been anxiously awaiting today because I was so excited to show my family how beautiful this place was. We went to beach blanket for breakfast since we liked the omlets better there. I did like the seating much better at Parrot Cay however. After breakfast we noticed that people were already getting off the ship at 8:40. What? I thought they had said 9:00 just last night. Anyway we ran down and got our stuff and were getting off by about 8:50. We hightailed it to the family beach and found one of the last hammocks with a couple of loungechairs around it. We all loved it so much it was occupied by someone all day (with the exception of lunch time). My husband and I left the kids to play in the sand with our mothers and headed for the adult beach to do some snorkeling. I was very dissapointed with the amount of fish. I could have counted them on 2 hands, but we saw lots of starfish, sand dollars and even 2 stingray. One of them was right up by the shore in very shallow water. It was all worth it just to see them. We are planning to do the Stingray City on our Western cruise so this got me even more excited to do it. After about an hour we went back to the family beach and my husband and son did some snorkeling there while us girls went and checked out the shops. The boys saw LOTS of fish and got some great pictures with the underwater camera. We went to lunch as soon as it opened at 11:30 and we all thought it was pretty good. The burgers were dry but we all enjoyed the lobster patties. We got some frozen yogurt and headed back to the beach to lay in the sun. By about 2:00 we had had enough so we headed back to the ship and went to see Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen. My two daughters loved it, I took a bit of a nap. We always brought our extra blanket from the closet since it is soooo cold in the theater.
Dinner tonight was at Animators Pallett. We all had the salmon and enjoyed it a lot. My husband and son did not understand what all the hype was about this place. They thought the show was lame. The girls thought it was pretty cool. The show tonight was Golden Mickeys. Everyone enjoyed walking down the red carpet. My daughters and I did it a few times just for effect. They had changed the show a bit since we were on in September so it was enjoyable once again. We went and soaked in the (non) hot tub. The ones by the goofy pool never seemed hot when we were in them. But it was fun and we met a boy who was on the ship for 5 weeks with his father who was a worker on board. My son thought he had the most wonderful life to be able to stay that long! We ordered room service once again and went to sleep.
