March 27, 2010 - Spring Break with Mickey on the Magic!

My family will also be joining you all on the spring break cruise! It will be my dad, mom, me (17), and my brother (13).

We will be hailing from good old Jersey, and we're definitely looking forward to the warm weather! :cool2:

If your teens will be on the cruise and want to form some bonds before we board the Magic, they should feel free to e-mail me at yankeegirl595@aim.com!

Happy New Year!

Never mind - just found my answer - it would totally help if I read the thread all the way through before posting!! It was in there twice!!

I hope things work out and you can join us! I can't believe all the news I've been seeing about cold and snow everywhere. Not to rub it in to all you poor folks who actually have a winter, but it was 63 degrees and sunny here in Vegas today :beach:

looks like we are GOING..........cold wx got the best of me and my wife's discount ca me thru, we are cat 7 hoping to upgrade to a verandah, this is our 5th disney cruise, last jan we did a 7 western and this past june we did a 7 day eastern with tortola,

if anyone is interested we are booking our 2nd SNUBA trip on st thomas, we did it in june and it was awesome (pm me if you want any info)

our dd's 9 and 13 are very excited to say the least, if any other kids their age want to chat with them before we set sail let me know and I'll get their email, they did it last year and met up with each other the first day, they had a blast.

looking forward to saying bye to Pa for a week!!

It's now allowing me to PM you so I iwll ask here. The SNUBA sounds fun! My husband isn't the best swimmer and my 8 year old loves the water but is still learning to swim - do you think they would be able to do this?
Thanks for your help!

your husband would be fine, your 8 yr old may be questionable, you are in about 15-20 ft of water and and stay with frank or tammy, they may be able to work with you and keep your little one on shallower water. We were out for about 1/2 hour - 40 mins total, it is tiring but my 8 yr old had no problems at all. Check with frank & tammy and let them know your concerns, if you can do it you'll have a blast. The water is amazing I have some pixs but don't know that I can post them.

Thanks for your help! I emailed them and it sounds like it might work. We are going to talk it over this weekend and hopefully make a reservation

hope u can do it, we just got our res confirmation for 1000 wed 3/31....

Hi everyone, we are joining you on this cruise. We are Richard and Nancy with our DS11 and DD6. We've been on 11 disney cruises but this will be our first eastern carribean cruise.

We also would like to join the FE group (another first for us).

We were booked on the 3/25/2010 3-night wonder cruise and decided to move up to the magic.

Its spring break for us in Vancouver Washington during the cruise. We are also staying at disneyworld a few days before and after the cruise. Both kids are also celebrating birthdays (early april) on this trip.

Richard

I am really getting excited about this cruise. My birthday is the day we get off the ship and I an trying to convince the family we need to go to the MK that day. I can't wait to meet everyone. My sister's best friend is also on this cruise. They are 12 and my sister would love to start e-mailing with others that will be in the club too.

Glad you're joining the group! Sounds like you have a great vacation planned. I really wish we could do a few days at Disneyworld too while we're in Florida, but unfortunately since my DD started high school I'm afraid it's going to be too hard for her to get caught up if she misses school (the week of the cruise is the only break she gets). Oh, well, great excuse to go back again.

Tell your family that the folks on the DIS board definitely agree you need to go to the MK on your birthday! (That'll convince them, right? We're completely unbiased :rolleyes1) We're only 3.5 hours away from Disneyland so I try to spend as many of my own birthdays there as possible :earsgirl:

I'm going to ask my daughter to start a kids thread for the cruise tomorrow; I'll post a link once she does. I know not everyone feels comfortable letting their kids onto an internet forum, but for those who can and want to it'll give them a chance to chat as a group. My DD tried the emailing thing a few times on other cruises - once it worked out great, but mostly she says it's awkward trying to email with strangers.

11 weeks from today we'll be on the ship!

Let me know if your daughter starts a new thread for kids on our cruise.

Thanks.

I'm so exctited, we were finally able to make our reservations today. We have Palo for both Brunch and Dinner, Parasailing at Castaway Cay, Exotic Ritual, and the extreme getaway at Castaway Cay.
We also reserved the Snuba in St Thomas for noon that day. We are going to have so much fun. I hope then ext 75 days go by quickly!

Thanks.

Our DD6 had a great time on our last cruise with a friend that she met on that cruise's kids thread. In our case, the parents did all the posting to it (due to their age...)

Of course DD6 always has a great time on any disney cruise.

Looks like we will be joining you also!! Were looking into this week or the 4/3 Cruise and that one seems to have no Cat 4 rooms left, and no connecting rooms...so March 27th we sail!!!:cool1::cool1:

It will be Mary (me)
DH: Bob
DS: Bobby (11)
DD: Catherine (8)
DS: Brian Celebrating his 7th birthday while onboard!!! :bday: (Very excited about this, but wants to make sure he will have a party with his friends when we get home)!!

This will be our 2nd cruise. Last was a Western double dip!! Looking forward to new ports, but at a loss as to what to do!!

Since we are sooo late booking this..I hope we can get into PALO. It was completely booked our last cruise.:confused3
Looking forward to getting to know you....now I have to go work on my magnets!!!

How exciting that he gets to celebrate on board! My son is turning 8 the week before but he still feels like this will be part of his birthday celebration
