March 26, 2011 - Eastern Caribbean Magic and FE Exchange!

Love the idea of a DISmeet the first afternoon! Jeff will be totally OUT on that though. Here's what I get from him...

Also, this might be a good idea to give out room numbers (if they change when we check in).

Six weeks from today I will be closing suitcases, loading the car and hitting the road!!!!! And yes, I mean that I will be doing it..... I'm a bit of a control freak and I like it packed just so..... :rotfl2:

Well,

I have decided to commit to some more fun on this trip. I have been obsessing about FEs and gifts for a couple of weeks and have decided that I don't want to miss out. I have been picking up little bits and pieces to handout, so I guess it's time to join.

Please add us. I'll need to PM, right????

We'll be on your cruise too. Any teens onboard?

We have a DD 13...

There are a couple teens in the FE group so far. However it is a full ship so I'm sure there will be a lot of teens on the cruise. There is a nice outdoor rec area at the top of the ship for teens/adults.

Glad you joined the fe exchange, FrogLady23!

lflynn, we know a few other families going on this cruise, and one of them has a daughter who turns 14 this month. Of course, you can see by my signature we have 2 teen boys, but that probably isn't what you were thinking of for your daughter :). My 13 year old son is friends with this girl (we are next-door neighbors)and they plan on parasailing together. Anyway, if your daughter would want to contact her I could give you their family's email. Just pm me if you are interested.

Karajeboo....Sounds like Jeff and my hubby will get along just great!:lmao:

Seriously though- you make a good point- if people don't have their room numbers yet for whatever reason- they'll be sure to have it by the meeting! I'd hate for anyone who wants to participate in the FE miss out because they don't know their room number until boarding, etc.

Sounds like there a quite a few kids between 8-12? Anyone want to exchange kids emails or addresses before the cruise?

Ally will turn 10 on the cruise, she's in 4th grade and as an only child I think she would LOVE to know some other kids before the cruise???? If you're interested, PM me and I'll let Ally either email or something, to "introduce" herself......

Just updated FE list and emailed to everyone. Check the second email, the first one I left the original attachment (must be the cold medicine.....). Also, updated the lsit on p. 13 of this thread to include froglady23!

39 days!!!!!! :cool1:

Went out last night to shop for Ally - she outgrew EVERYTHING from last year!!! :scared1: Usually, she can still wear several things but she's outgrown stuff I bought her in the fall. It's crazy!

So we hit the sale at Justice and she's all decked out now, plus JCP had some very pretty dresses for formal/semi night. She's okay in a short dress for formal, night, right? I mean, it doesn't have to be floor length? Just need some dressy sandals for her and she is good to go!

Me? Well, as we are getting closer and closer I just don't see me dropping 3 sizes by the cruise.... at this point, I need to push hard to drop just one size to get in my summer clothes from last year!!!! This aging thing isn't so glamorous........ And moving from FL to SC I've been so cold all winter that I'm using that as my excuse for gaining 10 lbs over the winter!!!! :rotfl2:

Thanks for sending out the updated list Kara.

We went shopping this weekend for cruise clothes. I think Ally's short dress will be fine. I have read that you will still see people in jeans on formal/semi-formal night so she should be good to go.

I bought a black dress that I am going to wear for both our Palo night and semi-formal - trying to make the packing easier.

I have found with the cruise that the packing thing is driving me nuts. With the parks you just pack shorts/shirts. Not so easy with the cruise.

Tori and I hit Justice this weekend too. I found a cute black and purple plaid dress on clearance from Christmas. $11 :yay: I am so happy. It is not a long dress, but is very dressy. Add black sandals, and she's set.

You should have a message from me and the email in your pm box :)

If anyone else with teens is reading...our teens do plan on going to the club meeting the first night. My oldest son said that was a huge part in how much fun someone will get out of it. He spent a lot of time there two years ago (also a 7-night cruise). I think most teens are nervous going, so it's best to go early when everyone is nervous together :goodvibes

No cruise documents for us...we booked online with Disney.

Do they have a meeting for the 8 - 12 group? I haven't read about anything.:confused3

No docs for us yet, either:sad2:
