Does anyone want to lead the FE group? I would love to participate, but have never done one before.

Just booked our airfare this evening. We will be flying in the night before the cruise. Now I need to decide if we will do a car service, DCL transport or rent a car.

We're renting a car each way. Hertz to port, Avis from port. Also planning to fly in the day before the cruise, although we have not purchased airfare yet. Waiting for Southwest's calendar to open on October 5th.

Last year we took a spring break cruise and the Pre-Planning packet from Disney showed up in November. Looking forward to getting ours this year.

Just booked! It will be me (Kara) DH (Jeff) and DD (Ally) who will be celebrating her 10th birthday while we are on the ship!!! So I am going to try REALLY hard to make this a surprise trip for her!

I had a 4 night DCL cruise booked for Feb 2010 but we had to cancel at about a month out when we found out that Jeff's company was transferring us from Florida BACK to SC where we had just been transferred from 3 years previous.

While living in FL, we took full advantage of WDW being only 2 1/2 hrs away and in fact, just last year I spent a full 34 days at WDW!!!! So I'm a big time junkie and the fact that I haven't set foot in a park since May is about to kill me!!!!

So when I found out that Ally's birthday AND spring break fell the same week this year, I jumped at the chance to make it special!!!

I'm getting my FE ordered today so I'll be looking forward to meeting everyone there!

Our daughter turns 8 the last day of the cruise, we are staying in Orlando for the weekend we can spend her birthday at DisneyWorld.

I've almost spilled it at least 10 times already!!! She keeps telling me she wants to go to WDW for her birthday...... We are all missing our monthly weekend trips to the Happiest Place on Earth, but now that we are further away, it looks like we won't be back until NEXT December!

Both of my boys are really excited about the kids club. My youngest was a little sad when he found out that we would be in Florida and not going to WDW but after we talked about all of the cool things to do on the ship he is good to go.

I just noticed you are from Twinsburg KristiMc - my folks live down in Canton! I graduated from hs just outside Columbus (Westerville)and still spend a fair amount of time in NE Ohio visiting my family.

Is anyone starting the FE exchange info??? I've got my FE ordered (actually ordered it almost a year ago and then had to cancel when we cancelled our trip!).

That's cool that you know where Twinsburg is. We moved here 3 years ago from the Pittsburgh area. Tough to be a Steeler fan in Brown country

We have not started the Fish Extender info yet. I would love to do one, but I have never done it before so I do not want to lead.

Yes, I'm not crafty enough to make my own so I'm ordering it from ebay. And starting to think about FE gifts. I'd like to start the FE list sooner rather than later so we can get an idea of how many adults, and how many kids, etc.

If y'all want to PM me with your info: Names and ages of everyone in party, email address, and cabin#, I'll take lead on this. I'd rather communicate via email once I get everyone's email address......

I am surprised too that we don't have more people. I have been thinking that the cruise might not be that full because of everyone wanting to try out the Dream and also the Kids Sail Free earlier in the year.

This will be the week of our kids Spring Break so I didn't want to go at another time. We have pulled them out before for WDW but now that my oldest is in 4th grade it's getting to be too much work. I hope that he does not have any type of project to do over the break.

Our reasons are almost exactly the same! Usually spring break is the week before or after Easter but because Easter is so late this year, this is our spring break, too. And it's amazing how much tougher it is to take them out of school each year. Luckily Ally rarely misses school (except for Disney!) and does well in all her subjects so it's never been a problem. But I would much rather not take her out of school if I can avoid it..... Plus, we are taking my parents to WDW in December of 2011 for their 50th anniversary so that will be a full week of 5th grade out of school.....

Our Spring Break has always been the week after Easter but they have now said that it is going to be the last week of March from now on. They still get Friday & Monday at Easter also.
