We too will be on the cruise as it is our Spring Break. Here is the list of characters:

Me - DW- Kelsey
DH - Eric
DD - Madeline - age 8
DD - Alivia - age 5

We would love to be part of the FE, our cabin is 7564.

I added you to the roll call in post #2. I see you have an 8 yr old daughter. My daughter is also 8 and loves to have other kids to hang around with on our cruises. We got very lucky on our last cruise and ran into a friend of hers from her dance class onboard (small world). She loved having a "buddy" to go to the club with. Does your daughter like to do that also?

Has anyone visited this beach (Nachi Cocom) in Cozumel. I have read reviews and it seems great. It only allows 100 people to reserve space on the beach and fills quickly. When I was reading reviews, there was another Disney cruise that got everyone to book so the beach was full of Disney Magic cruisers.

I checked a website and if I remember correctly, there are 6 other ships in the Cozumel port with us.

I did book my family of 4, the deposit was $33 (non-refundable-unless the ship misses the port) but I thought I was better safe than sorry by waiting.

I did see there are some other beaches with water inflatables that could be fun but the comment was they were tough for the kids to get on if they were small, and with a 5 year old that could be an issue.

Here is to hoping we can get a bunch of kids on this nice beach and let them play.

That beach sounds cool. My husband had been hoping for an excursion to a Mayan ruin of some sort. We'll have to discuss what a 12 & 8 yr old would rather do.

Hello, everybody! We just got off the Magic yesterday and booked this cruise while we were on board! Can't wait to meet you all here and get to know everyone better!

I would love to set up a FaceBook page for this cruise meet. I set one up for the DIS group that we were a part of last week and it turned out to be so much fun and a GREAT way to chat! Let me know if you guys are interested in that and I can get it rolling!

That beach really does look nice, but I am pretty sure my wife wants to see ruins in Cozumel, but I would like to do the underground river, which just looks really cool. I think my kids want to do the adventure park. There is going to have be some compromises in our family for that day.


For Grand Cayman, I am pretty sure Stingray City is in our future, not sure which one of the excursions we will pick.

The FB group was just a lot of fun. It let us get to know each other a little better and see pictures and stuff like that! The folks that ran the FE put up a google doc on the FB group page so everyone could enter their info and have a sheet to print out before the cruise. We did a photo countdown the last few weeks where different families made pictures with the number of days left until the cruise and posted them as the group profile picture. It also let people who were not a part of the DISBoard participate as well. No pressure, it was just something fun I had done with another cruise group and I just wanted to see if our next cruise group was interested!

That is too funny that we will be neighbors on the ship. When we booked on board we went and scouted out the available rooms to see which was in the best location for us. 5018 is super close to the kids clubs, and was perfect for us!

My DD8 would love to have someone to hang out with. She has no problem making new friends and will look forward to someone her own age. She likes her sister but feel she needs to do "big kid" things :0)

Possible cruise itinerary:
I went by some past 7-night navigators for WC sailings, but since we're a 6-nighter things may be altered somewhat. Don't know if we will have an official Formal Night since it was shortened (but hope this gives us an idea of what we'll have).

Day 1 Port Canaveral -- 4:00 PM
Day 2 At Sea -- -- (Formal night??)
Day 3 Grand Cayman 7:30 AM 4:30 PM
Day 4 Cozumel, MX 9:30 AM 6:30 PM (Pirate Party??)
Day 5 At Sea -- -- (Semi-Formal Capt's Gala?)
Day 6 Castaway Cay 9:30 AM 4:30 PM ('Til We Meet Again?)
Day 7 Port Canaveral 7:30 AM --

Based on the fact that the ship must be cruising VERY slow for fireworks (the reason why Pirate night is done on st Maarten night on Eastern itinerary, since it's so close to St Thomas), I would expect it would be on Day 3, if at all.

Once they get up to cruising speed, they can't just back it off for fireworks, so they can only do it when they have a short distance between ports. That said, I don't know how far it is from GC to Cozumel?

Based on the fact that the ship must be cruising VERY slow for fireworks (the reason why Pirate night is done on st Maarten night on Eastern itinerary, since it's so close to St Thomas), I would expect it would be on Day 3, if at all.

Once they get up to cruising speed, they can't just back it off for fireworks, so they can only do it when they have a short distance between ports. That said, I don't know how far it is from GC to Cozumel?

It was all a guess on my part. I went by a recent 7-night WC set of Navigators. I wonder what night the WC cruises usually have it on? I'm sure when it comes time to make ressies, I'll book something for one of the "theme" nights and miss out on stuff. That seems to be my luck. Has anyone been on a WC before?

Thanks for asking. We are in mid-Missouri, so we missed all the weather. We have friends and many family members in St Louis though, so we were hopping Saturday morning trying to make sure everyone was safe. Everyone is fine, but the airport was is in total disarray. It's crazy how in just a matter of miles the weather can be so different. We only received a light drizzle here at home that day, while St Louis got pounded with hail and 2 tornadoes. Just crazy. The airport is back up to 80% open as of this evening. They say it will be at least 2 months before all the repairs are made.

We will be joining you onboard, we rebooked onboard the Dream in March. This will be our first Caribbean cruise so very excited. I am just off to check out the beach that was mentioned in an earlier post.
