Ours was in the mail today. Also in today's mail were our luggage tags and document booklet for Alaska!

Mary - That is sooooo exciting. I know you and Mark will have a wonderfully magical DREAM of a vacation!!! :thumbsup2

Walk into union hall at the right time B A ask do I want to work . GOING TO WORK TUE.

Congratulations Michael! Although I wish it were something more permanent, I am glad you are able to find some form of work these days. I count my blessings every day and am very thankful I still have my job. I know things could change at any time especially since our company was sold last year. Good luck with this job and here's some pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust: to keep the work coming in the future.

Hello DIS Friends!!!

Hope everyone had a great holiday weekend!

It's back to work today. The kids have 2 1/2 weeks left of school which is going to be tough considering the temps are in the 90s here and the schools are not air conditioned. DD has her standardized tests this week which makes me really mad since it is so hot. I think this is the 1st year they scheduled them so late. She is in 1st grade so it is not a state mandated test but one administered by the school district. They use them to evaluate the kids and also prepare them for the state tests that start in 3rd grade. How can they possibly think the kids are going to perform well under these conditions. I told DD to just do her best and not worry about the test. Just think of it as another day of class work.

DS had his band concert last week and has his choir concert tomorrow night. Again, it was extremely hot during last weeks concert and the poor kids looked like they were having a tough time. We were extremely hot in the audience so just imagine being on stage with the lights shining down on you. Ugh! :scared1:

We'll have one week off from school and then head to my parents in Cape May. The kids have camp down there for the week and I will work from there. :thumbsup2 Then DS will have Boy Scout camp for a week. I am determined to keep them busy and not in front of the tv or video games all summer.

That Alaskan cruise actually sounds really nice right about now with the heat wave we are having. It seems like we went right from winter to summer with just a few spring like days.

Well, hope all is well and that you have a great week. Only 3 days until Gary Day!!!! Today is Tuesday....right?????(not Monday or Wednesday....you know I sometimes get a little confused) :rotfl2:

...also I am working on our fish extender gifts, they are turning out great.

I started working on the idea I had for the women who will be participating. First one was a tad large, second two small, but the third was just perfect. Have stuff cut out for 8 more. Figured I'd start off by making 10, since we don't have a count yet.

Now....if I could just think of something for the men, since I already have a basic idea for the kids.

Congratulations to DH for the job!:cheer2:

Its very hard to find ideas of things that others might enjoy! I thought about it for about a month before I found what I wanted to do!;)

Good Luck!

Good Morning and Happy Hump Day!

Wednesday sure comes fast when you had a three day weekend!

Have a great day. :flower3:

Good morning everyone! Happy Wednesday!

Hope everyone has a great day!

I agree, Chris.

The only problem is I have to go back to working 6 days a week.

When do I get to cruise????????

Good morning fellow cruisers

We sail in 42 weeks!

Oh, that is a problem Ray. :sad2: Is that your normal work schedule or just for a while? Hope it is only for a short while.

But, look at Mary's countdown. . . . . . . . .42 weeks and we will be Sailing Away!

This has been my schedule for about 10 years now. The only time I get more than one day off is the 5 major holidays.

So yes, seeing that countdown means alot to me

Hello to all my wonderful Cruisin' Buddies! I have missed you all very much - but hopefully I'm back!!

I just said hello on the Members' Cruise Thread! And then to try to explain what has happened, I wrote a silly story - so here it is . . .

Not a real happy one I'm afraid - but I will try to make the best of it!

Once upon a time, there was a very happy DVCer and she had a happy little family. She booked a wonderful vacation and started to chat with lots of new friends. She made many new friends who always sent good wishes for her son in Afghanistan (who will be coming home for good on June 20th - yippee!! ). She met a nice man named Ian who made her cute Deernuts for Christmas. And she really liked lurking around for and .
Then one day, her prince of a husband came to her and said, "sorry but I don't want to be married to you anymore, after 16 years - I need a change" !! Well, the happy DVCer became very sad and cried and cried some more. Finally, she decided she had to snap herself out of it, and become happy again for her sweet son Dustin and her older two boys, too. They are the best things in her life, so she better pull herself together!
So the happy DVCer is really trying to be happy again - and with the help of all of her new friends, I'm sure she will get there very soon!!
The End - or should I say, my new beginning!

I have really missed posting with all of you and I am really going to try to be here every day!! Thank you all for your kind thoughts. They mean so much to me and have really pulled me through a very difficult time - THANK YOU ALL from the bottom of my heart! :)

Oh Sue I'm so very sorry.

Know that we are here for both on this thread and on the Facebook feed. You don't deserve this pain (no on does).

Here's to a great big beautiful tomorrow...it's only a day away!

I haven't met, or even talked on here to the DVC'r, but I hope every day brings another ray of sunshine and things get better. I'm sure with all the pixie dust being sent to the DVC'r, life will once again be worth smiling for! :wizard::wizard:

Okay, so I'm the mayor of CornyVille.

Wish I was able to see Fred while he was down, but there is no way to get out of work right now.
