Good morning everyone - happy Monday! Hope everyone had great weekend.

Hello everyone...I am sorry for not posting a while. Hope everyone is well.

We had a great time on our cruise. Good weather but at times very windy. Due to 2 medical emergencies and strong winds, we did not get to stop at Castaway Cay. The first medical emergency was as we were leaving St. Thomas. The ship ended up going back to a waiting ambulance. The 2nd emergency was our sea day...we ended up docking at Grand Turk...we were not allowed off the ship. We were docked there for a couple of hours. Apparently the medical team from the ship had to escourt the patient to the airport to a plane waiting for them. The winds got worse during this time. By morning...it was announced that we would not be going to Castaway Cay. Free drinks, extra shows were added that day and a New Years Eve type celebration in the atrium. I will tell you this...we've read on the Disboards about the Magic and how they are not as good as before...Michael and I say....the Magic still has the magic. No complaints what so ever!!!!

We stayed at Animal Kingdom Lodge-Kadani (with a savannah view) before the cruise and Jambo (with a savannah view) after the cruise....WOW. We just loved it. Sitting on the balcony having a cup of coffee and just watching the animals was AWESOME!!!!! I love it!!!!

We did the Keys to the Kingdom Tour....it last over 5 hours. They give you an ear piece so you can hear your guide talk as we tour the Magic Kingdom. He took us behind the scenes. We got to watch as the parade ended behind the big door by the firehouse. All the performers and characters waved at us...it was great. BUT, I had to turn away because I didn't want my illusion busted when the characters took their heads off. I just couldn't look. We also got to go through the utilicores (I think that's what they called it...). Our guide was very knowledgeable(sp) and funny too. With the tour, we were provided a lunch and given a Key to the Kingdom pin. It's a must do.

We've been home since March 7th...and I am still moping around that we are home. We had the best cruise/vacation. Wonderful time...I just wish time would slow down a bit.

Have a good evening.:flower3:

Monika, Sounds like you had a great time despite the unexpected events. The kids and I are staying at Jambo House Savannah view after the SSMC11. We are so excited. We were just discussing our trip this evening. I told the kids we would only get 1 day(at the most) in each park. DS says that since we are going on the cruise he is fine with only staying a day in each park. ;) The kids were hooked from the start on cruising.

Morning all. we are still here, Michael is still working alot of 10 hour days, yea money, sad for him...he is always very tired he is also working 6 days a week.

Monica, sorry you did not get the trip orginally planned, but glad you still enjoyed it.

Chris, hope you are enjoying your trip!

Hope every one is well, their is a virus going around here, and I am trying not to catch it.

Well need to get ready for swimming this morning, then breakfast with a friend, then weigh in at weight watchers, oh forgot to tell you I joined last weekend. then a little grocery shopping then off to a visit with MoM, It seems I just never have enough time in a day!:scared1:

Hang in there Dianne (and Michael). Good luck with Weight Watchers and keep up with the swimming. Hope you can avoid that virus. You had been sick for quite a while not that long ago. You don't need to go through it again, especially with Michael working all those hours. Who will take care of you? Yikes, and I hope Michael avoids it too having to work all those hours. The last thing he needs is a virus.
Congrats to Gary on the :bride:

Congrats to Dave on the pirate:

Ditto from me!

I am heading out to an RV show, figured I would grab a pirate: or :bride: hopefully! Have a great day everyone!

Did you buy anything??? Or at least find something you want to buy? I love to camp. We did both seasonal camping in the summers at the Jersey Shore - Southern NJ that is and nothing like the reality show. :lmao: And, we did summer vacations for 2 weeks on the Chesapeake in August each year through my jr high and high school years. Great times and memories!!!

Is it Garyday yet???

We had such a busy weekend that I need it to be Garyday. Although now that I think of it, next weekend is very busy also. Maybe I'd prefer a slow work week. If only we Americans valued those afternoon naps like some other countries. And when I say 'we Americans' I really mean our bosses. I am sure most of you would all be in favor of a mandatory nap time during the day. :cloud9:

Hope all is well with everyone.

Flo - Were you able to book this cruise? Or are you going on a different cruise this year? I seem to recall you mentioning something in October (maybe)?

Hope Chris and the family are having a good time at WDW.

Have a great week!!!!

Oh wait!!! I just realized tomorrow marks the 1 year countdown for our cruise together. :cool1::cool1::cool1: How exciting!!!!!! Woo Hoo!:cheer2:

Happy Birthday to my favorite fellow - Mark!

Lisa-We didn't buy anything, we already do seasonal camping and I was looking for accesories! The show ended up being more of a boat show than a camping show. The last few years the show was getting smaller and smaller and this year they opened it up to boats as well. Just not the same.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MARK

Have a great day!!!!!

Good Morning all. It's 48 degrees right now and mostly cloudy...the high for today...58 degrees. Hope you have a great Tuesday.

Happy Birthday Monika!!!

Savannah view...you and your kids will love it. It's amazing and it is so quiet and peaceful. The animals that we saw most near our room were...Zebras, Giraffes, Elands, Ostrich and Storks. There is a list on the table in your room to help you identify the animals. I would love to stay at Animal Kingdom Lodge again...Kidani or Jambo.

Take care.....:flower3:

Good morning everyone - happy hump day!

Chris brought up a question on the facebook site and I thought it would be good to discuss here as well. What is everyone's plans for before the cruise. It would be great if we could do a quick get together the day/night before the cruise to get the party started early.

So far it looks like Dave and Gary are staying at OKW and planning on doing some golfing. Haven't looked at FB since yesterday, but what is everyone else planning? We're still undecided.

Good Morning Fellow Cruisers!!

Mary-We have no set timetable or reservations, but I have always wanted to play golf down there. Depending on everyones schedule we could stay at OKW and possibly meet everyone over at Radisson At The Port for the final night before cruising. It is just so easy to get to the terminal from there.

NOTE: When you do online check in they now assign you an arrival time. I am not sure what happens if you arrive earlier or later than your assigned times, but we had checked in BEFORE they instituted this policy and we checked in first thing. We might want to look into this.

Chris-Bob is more than welcome to golf with us! They do rent everything you will need right there.

I have also posted on the FB page that I have some info on the private Cabanas. The cost for the Family ones are $499 for up to 6 I believe, the cost for the Serenity Bay one is $399 for 4. You can add extra people at $50/person and they hold up to 10. I would be interested in trying to get one at Serenity and finding others to share in!!

Have a great day everyone!!

Good Morning all, were still here, just been very busy.

Michael still working for now, working 10 hour shifts this week.

DS in Indiana for a week, for training, and his fiance left for Jackson, Mississippi for forty days to work as a paramedic, they need help with emergency services.

So I am taking DS son's daughter to school and picking her up this week, others are taking care of thier dogs. Then to top everything off his fiances Mom fell Sunday after her last kemo treatment, and broke her leg. and is in the hospital. I saw her last night. She needs extra prayers and pixie dust if you have any to spare.

She is such a sweet lady!

Have a good day!:thumbsup2
