Congrats on the
Gary!!

Hello everyone...I am sorry for not posting a while. Hope everyone is well.
We had a great time on our cruise. Good weather but at times very windy. Due to 2 medical emergencies and strong winds, we did not get to stop at Castaway Cay. The first medical emergency was as we were leaving St. Thomas. The ship ended up going back to a waiting ambulance. The 2nd emergency was our sea day...we ended up docking at Grand Turk...we were not allowed off the ship. We were docked there for a couple of hours. Apparently the medical team from the ship had to escourt the patient to the airport to a plane waiting for them. The winds got worse during this time. By morning...it was announced that we would not be going to Castaway Cay. Free drinks, extra shows were added that day and a New Years Eve type celebration in the atrium. I will tell you this...we've read on the Disboards about the Magic and how they are not as good as before...Michael and I say....the Magic still has the magic. No complaints what so ever!!!!
We stayed at Animal Kingdom Lodge-Kadani (with a savannah view) before the cruise and Jambo (with a savannah view) after the cruise....WOW. We just loved it. Sitting on the balcony having a cup of coffee and just watching the animals was AWESOME!!!!! I love it!!!!
We did the Keys to the Kingdom Tour....it last over 5 hours. They give you an ear piece so you can hear your guide talk as we tour the Magic Kingdom. He took us behind the scenes. We got to watch as the parade ended behind the big door by the firehouse. All the performers and characters waved at us...it was great. BUT, I had to turn away because I didn't want my illusion busted when the characters took their heads off. I just couldn't look. We also got to go through the utilicores (I think that's what they called it...). Our guide was very knowledgeable(sp) and funny too. With the tour, we were provided a lunch and given a Key to the Kingdom pin. It's a must do.
We've been home since March 7th...and I am still moping around that we are home. We had the best cruise/vacation. Wonderful time...I just wish time would slow down a bit.
Have a good evening.![]()

hopefully! Have a great day everyone!
Did you buy anything??? Or at least find something you want to buy? I love to camp. We did both seasonal camping in the summers at the Jersey Shore - Southern NJ that is and nothing like the reality show. And, we did summer vacations for 2 weeks on the Chesapeake in August each year through my jr high and high school years. Great times and memories!!!
Happy Birthday Monika!!!Hope you are having a great day!!!!
Monika, Sounds like you had a great time despite the unexpected events. The kids and I are staying at Jambo House Savannah view after the SSMC11. We are so excited. We were just discussing our trip this evening. I told the kids we would only get 1 day(at the most) in each park. DS says that since we are going on the cruise he is fine with only staying a day in each park. The kids were hooked from the start on cruising.
Savannah view...you and your kids will love it. It's amazing and it is so quiet and peaceful. The animals that we saw most near our room were...Zebras, Giraffes, Elands, Ostrich and Storks. There is a list on the table in your room to help you identify the animals. I would love to stay at Animal Kingdom Lodge again...Kidani or Jambo.
Good morning everyone - happy hump day!
Chris brought up a question on the facebook site and I thought it would be good to discuss here as well. What is everyone's plans for before the cruise. It would be great if we could do a quick get together the day/night before the cruise to get the party started early.
So far it looks like Dave and Gary are staying at OKW and planning on doing some golfing. Haven't looked at FB since yesterday, but what is everyone else planning? We're still undecided.
