Thank you everyone for Lauren's Birthday Wishes! We had a fun time last night.

Diane and Michael - love the pictures. I find you can't fully appreciate thensize of that tree until you see Michael standing next to it.

Well, I went to bed way too late but figured that was ok....I can sleep in since kids stayed at their DF's house. I was wrong. I was awakened at 6 something by Mittens beating me on the head with his paw and playing with my hair. Where is he now??? Sound asleep on my bed.:confused3

Going to a cookie walk today. Never been to one before but it is a fundraiser for a church. There are 1000's of cookies that had been donated by lots of people. You pay $7 at the door and they give you a box (not sure how big) and then you walk around and fill your box. That's all I know about it at this point. I thought it sounded like fun and for $7 I'll give it a try. I am actually more interested in the fundraiser idea itself and seeing how it is run. Thought it was a great idea. A lady my sister works with got about 30 people just where my sister works to donate cookies. They ask each person to donate 3 dozen cookies. Wow! If you have a large enough group of people to ask for donations and then they each can get lots of people to donate cookies.....that can turn out to be a really great fundraiser. Assuming you advertise well and get lots of people to show up to purchase them.

I guess it's about that time.....need to get something done before I go walking for cookies. Clean house, grocery shop, wrap presents, and maybe put a few lights up outside. This is the 1st year I have not had any lights up outside. :( Has been so cold and busy since we got back from vacation. I guess I should have found time before we left. That's easy to say now. Oh darn, I have a Christmas party to go to tonight. Forgot about it. Can't make an excuses for not going since it is across the street. :rolleyes1. At least I don't have to drive. :thumbsup2

Take care everyone and enjoy this last weekend before Christmas.

Good morning everyone - happy Saturday!

Dianne & Michael the tree, cookies and gingerbread house all look great. I bet your home really smells like Christmas!

Lisa the cookie walk sounds like fun. I've heard of them where each person brings 2-3 dozen cookies and then everyone who brought gets to walk around and fill their containers but never one that is a fundraiser. Sounds like a great idea.

We're going to a Christmas concert tonight. It will be the first time we see our favorite band since Chuck passed away but I'm sure he'll be there in spirit.

Have a great day everyone!

PDFG and all our friends who need it.

Morning Everyone! Happy saturday!:)

Dianne/Michael - That tree is so pretty. Looks like your grandaughter had a great time and her Ginberbread house is great.:thumbsup2

Lisa - Have fun tonight. I like Mary have heard of them but never been on one.

Mary - Have a great time at the concert.:santa:

I can not believe that Christmas is next week, I do not knwo were the year went.

:surfweb:

Hi All!

First a belated happy birthday to Lauren. Sounds like a great time was had by all.

Dianne & Michael - Great Job on the tree and cookies. Looks like you guys have a good time with the DGD. Her gingerbread house is really cute and I bet it was fun watching her do it. Thanks for sharing.

Mary - have a good time at your concert tonight. I'm sure it will be hard for you but you have his spirit in your heart and he will be there with all I'm sure. :littleangel:

Lisa - hope you had a fun time getting cookies. Sounds like fun. I haven't done any baking yet and I don't think I'm going to this year. We really don't need the sweets around here and if I can keep them out of the house, the better. :rolleyes1 And have a good time at your party tonight.

Flo - I agree, where in the world did this year go? :confused3 Just flew by. Seems like each year by goes faster and faster.

:flower3:

Good Morning Sunrise club

Don't understand why I cannot sleep in on the weekends. oh well.

Had a nice dinner at the Casino with Mom and DH last night, and I ate too much.
it was Dungness crab and steak night, First time I had Dungness crab I think I prefer the Snow crab,:)

Going to excersise this morning and then prepare the rest of the house for christmas, and all of my house guests, They will arrive Christmas Eve and not leave until Sunday. So I will need to prepare the refridge as well later this week. Alot more mouths to feed!:santa:

Good Sunday Morning.

Well, we are supposed to go to my Aunt's house for Christmas today since she was sick last week. Should be fun. Only bad thing is we only get to be there about 2 hours because the girls have their band concert today at 2:30. :confused3 I don't know why it is in the middle of the afternoon on a Sunday but that is the way they do it.

Hello All!

Santa has an important question!!

Has anyone seen a Barbie Video Girl in any of your stores?

If so, please let me know.

Thanks.

Sorry, Lisa, we are not in to Barbie's much any more so I'm not sure what that is and Brooke won't tell me. I just asked her. Teenagers! :headache: Wish I could help.

Thanks Chris for asking.

It's a Barbie Doll that has a video camera built in to it's necklace. You can record stuff.

Who knew it would be such a hot item. Not I or I would have purchased one before vacation.

But that's like being the Monday quarterback. I should have.......

I just figured it wouldn't hurt to ask just in case any one was still out doing shopping and came across one. I would send check to cover purchase and shipping.

My aunt has been online and found one on amazon but not available until 24th and would not get here in time. And, they were asking like 65-75 for it and regular price was 50. I know that is not a major difference but to pay extra and it still won't get here in time. No thanks.

Oh well, she got the electric guitar she wanted for her birthday and the Barbie Glitterizer
:scared1:. Yes, it is as bad as it sounds. I may be pulling my hair out the first time she glitterizes the walls, furniture, etc. She also got Just Dance 2 for the Wii. First time we played a dance game and we all loved it. I am a little sore right now though. I am 'On Fire' when dancing to The Jackson 5 - I Want You Back. Okay so it took me a few tries to get some of the steps down but just wait until the kids are in school and I don't have to worry about the neighbors seeing in the windows during the day. I will be rockin'.
:lmao:

We also danced several times to Elvis' Viva Los Vegas and we laughed so hard we could hardly dance. The dance moves are hysterical.

Great time tonight and boy did we get some exercise.

Lisa - I am going to Target after work. If I find it I will let you know.

Good morning everyone - happy Monday! Hope everyone had a great weekend. We had a busy, but really fun one.

Saturday we went up to Milwaukee for the night. Had dinner at Mo's Irish Pub and then to the Christmas concert by Blarney. They were supposed to have an Irish Storyteller as well like last year but for some reason he didn't show. The concert was very nice, but it was strange without Chuck there. Chuck's brother Ed (the founder of Irish Fest) did get up and say a few words at the intermission about some things happening this year in Chuck's honor. One is a special music set at Irish Fest that will be in memory of Chuck (which we were expecting and look forward to) others are community events that Chuck started (blood drives, community clean ups, etc.) At the end of the second set one of the band spoke of losing Chuck as well and how they will continue to play but are working out the details. We got a chance to talk to Kevin and Dennis at the end of the evening and wish them a Merry Christmas. There was also a raffle at the concert to benefit the local food panty (which the proceeds from the concert also went to as well as the food we brought). Mark bought $10 worth of tickets and we came home with 2 prizes! So in all we came home with a puzzle, an Irish Fest sweatshirt, an Irish fest t-shirt, an Irish Fest mug, an Irish Fest shot glass and 3 Irish Fest hats!

Sunday we had breakfast at Cracker Barrel on the way home and then mid-day went to see Tron in Imax 3D. Good movie and Imax is an awesome way to see it. Last but not least we had dinner out at Buca di peppo (hope I spelled that right :) ). So all in all a very fun weekend.

Now it is back to work with the holiday fast approaching. The nice thing for me is that the next two weeks are casual at work (jeans ok) and I'm only working Monday and Tuesday! I do have a follow-up visit with my oncologist today so if you can keep me in your thoughts at lunch time.

Have a great day everyone!

Lisa - good luck on finding Barbie. With no kids I can't tell you the last time I was in a toy department.

Chris - hope you enjoyed Christmas with your Aunt and the holiday concert.

Dianne - good luck with final prep for all your house guests.

Good Morning Fellow Cruisers!!

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Chris-How was the girls concert? Hope it went off good!

Mary-Sounds like you had a great weekend, glad you enjoyed it.

Lisa-I will be heading out for a last minute gift and will check the stores, I do know Walmart was a disaster on Sat. night and so disorganized that you wouldn't find it if it was there.

Dianne-Sounds like you had a nice dinner out as well, the photos look great!

Flo-Are you working all week?

Sue-....Sue....she's run off again :confused3 Hope all is well!

Good Morning Everyone!

Thanks for asking about the girls' concert yesterday. It went very well. I enjoyed the concert band very much. They played some really uplifting songs and my toes were tapping along. And Christmas at my Aunt's was nice. We really just get together to eat and visit. It was great that so many were able to make it since it was cancelled from the previous week.

Lisa - I so remember the Barbie days. Good luck on your quest to find her.

Mary - sounds like you and Mark had a very nice weekend. Glad the weather held for you to get up to Milwaukee and back safe and sound.

Flo - boy you were up early today. Are you ready for Christmas?

And yes, Sue, where are you?

Have a great day! :santa:

Good Morning Boys and Girls!
Can you say short work week?
I knew you could! ;):thumbsup2
