March 2017 Crowds

Hey all, my mom and I are going to Disneyland March 10-17. I had read elsewhere that crowds start picking up mid-march and get worse the later in the March you go. Based on past experiences, what kind of crowds to expect those dates? Also, should I expect any usual ride closures or refurbishments around these dates? Have never been in March, only in June. Thank you

Easter is on April 1st in 2018 and the main AP blockouts begin on 3/23 and 3/24, so you might be there just ahead of when Disney expect the largest Spring Break crowds. That being said, there will be crowds because many school districts do not tie their spring break to Easter, so there are schools out anywhere from early March through April. My guess is that the weekdays will probably be okay, but the weekends will be busy - especially if that is the first weekend of the Egg-Stravaganza or if there are any special ticket deals, AP offerings, etc.. There is a rather large convention over at the Anaheim Convention Center from 3/7 through 3/11 - the Natural Products Expo - and while that might not have a huge impact on crowds in the parks, it will (most likely) impact hotel availability. So make sure you have your hotel booked early.
