That is funny! WOW only 3 more sleeps now!! Have you decided on a vendor for the scooter should you need it? I used Scooter Bug, but there are several others that will drop off at luggage services for you. Then there is Walker (which has an excellent reputation), but you actually have to meet them in person for them to hand off the scooter (which for most people is not an issue/problem).

I was looking at Apple Scooters. I think that is what it is called. They will drop off at the resort. We are going to see how the first day goes and go from there.

Weather Watch -- 2 MORE SLEEPS!! Or not sleeps... I can't sleep, the excitement is getting to me. I've actually been up since 1:30am due to not being able to sleep.

Just checking in... I have 6 more hours of work tomorrow and then I'm 'officially' on Vacation. I'm so excited!! The weather seems to be going into a heat wave for the time we are there. When I first started checking it a month ago it was in the low 70s most days... I am glad it will not be cold. Our very first trip with the same dates it was rainy and cold and we froze to death. So I will take the sun.


My DD19 received a call back from Cedar Point and she got the job!! So she is going to have an amazing summer of growth! I'm a little nervous that she will be about 2.5 hours away, but we plan on getting Season Passes this year so I will be going to see her at least once every two weeks as long as gas isn't crazy expensive. I'm excited for her, it is a step in the direction she wants to go. (She wants to work with the shows in Disney World, and was told that having amusement park experience will make that easier.)

We finally get to tell the kids tomorrow!!!

I can't believe with all the close calls we never told them. I am so excited to see their reactions. But first I need to get through the rest of today and most of tomorrow. I have SO much to do... this is so not like me.

My short list:
1. Do a few loads of laundry
2. Clean the house. Including cleaning various pet cages.
3. Fold laundry that has been washed this weekend.
4. Shave my legs...
5. Take my DD19 to school in the morning.
6. Take the kids to school in the morning.
7. Take a letter to each of the schools to let them know the kids will not be there.
8. FINISH packing... You know how I mentioned that my DH is a procrastinator? Yeah... he started last night and realized he did not have enough pairs of shorts because he threw a few pairs away last year. And he can't go shopping with the kids awake, so tomorrow it is.
9. Paint my nails?
10. Pick up my DD19 from school at 5:40pm, and then go meet DH at the restaurant for the surprise!!!

I may need to go buy ZzzzQuil just for tonight. I'm seriously not able to sleep. I tried to take a nap when I got off work but it didn't work out.

Side note: ZzzzQuil helps with falling asleep... but I still only slept 7 hours.

I suspect that they both have some sort of idea about a possible surprise trip but I do not think they know it it TOMORROW!!!!! But I will not be surprised if they are all "I knew it!!!" I have some smart cookies.

You can always check tomorrow and see if you can get the seats moved. But a few extra minutes won't kill you if you do get stuck at the back.

Yeah, we were in the same row before and it isn't that bad. I don't have to worry to much when the kids go to the bathroom.

DD19's leg is okay. But she says that when she walks for a while it starts to kind of feel a little weak. So we may still be getting a scooter. At least I have all the information to rent one if needed.




My DS9 was sent home from school today for behavior. He has a high functioning autism, and like I've mentioned before when he becomes fixated on something they can't talk him down... well today he brought a toy to school (with permission from the office, as a calming tool) and he left it in art, when he realized he had 'lost it' he lost it... And they couldn't get him to snap out of it, so they suspended him for the day (he had made a visit to the behavior teacher three times today already and that was before lunch, so it was a bad day for him). They are aware of the trip because we had dropped off a letter earlier. The Principle said have fun and that they think the family time will be good for him. So I'm hoping he doesn't view this as a reward.

On the topic of the surprise... The balloon idea did not work (they wouldn't float) and I'm a little happy about that... Getting my son to pop it would have been almost impossible. So nanna has bought individual boxes to match the color of the band, with a matching balloon (that will not need popped) and the kids will open those. I'm so excited!! My hubby just left to go get the girls from school and I am getting a shower when they return, I need to avoid them until I need to leave to get DD19. Don't want to spoil it hours before we surprise them.

Yikes. SOrry that you have to deal with that the day before you leave. However, I kind of agree with the principle, the family time will be good for him. I'd just punish the heck out of him till its time to leave.

This was awesome! I am rocking the baby, but I did a little cheer inside when the boxes got untangled lol. Such a great surprise! Have a great flight in the morning and an amazing trip. We should try to say hi in person while we are down there
