Wow ... I make a post to let you know something is coming and I get attacked like the hyenas from Lion King!

I love you guys!

Have some patience and sit tight while I wrestle with some new ADRs and finalize things with our NEW DATES! Yes, as you may have noticed, I have an extra ticker. We are going to IoA (maybe USF). The stone is taking a long time in being delivered, and we're trying to finalize a few things ... and DH is horrible at not saying "yes" or "no". Once I get a yes/no on USF, I can pull out the tools to etch this baby in STONE! (I've already called no-take-backsies!)

Hey, I had to do everything I could to protect my tentative plans! Calling "no-take-backsies" is totally legal and binding.

I noticed there isn't much patience around here ... I belong to that club. I'm hoping to run for president on the next election.

Not all of us can own Patience like you.

I totally think that No-take-backsies is a leagle and biding contract that can be upheld in any court of law. Ot at least it should be.

Can't wait to hear your finalized plans. With less than 45 days to go you can't make to many more changes. . . right?

I definatly don't have any patience, I admite it. I want to know what is going on now. But since I am not in charge of everything I guess I will have to learn a little. Or maybe barrow it from D for a little while.

I changed around some of my ADRs and days but told DH I can't tell him what I did since it includes a surprise for him, he looked at me a bit strangely and said uh ok sounding a bit scared at what I have in mind. Wait till he finds out it is just going to Marrakesh like he has wanted to for years

I'm excited to share the details, but it means some rearranging of things and letting go of stuff. So once everything is resolved, I'll "restart" my PTR (here, of course) and we'll go from there.

I'd love to plan a surprise for DH, but I just can't imagine him caring enough. Odds are, he'd whine about it.

I can't wait to hear how your Marrakesh surprise goes over!

Refresher: Our original travel day was March 3 (Saturday).

On Friday, March 2nd, we'll go about our day as usual. I'll go to Stats, the kids will go to school, and DH will go to work. Once the kids get home from school, they'll help with last minute packing and loading the vehicle (either mine or dad's). Around 4:30 or so, I'll begin cooking dinner ... just like any other day.

DH usually walks in the door between 5:30-5:45. I try to have dinner ready for him. This night, it will be waiting and I'll shove the food down his throat so he'll eat quickly. Why? Well, I want to hurry up and get in the car!

After dinner and potty breaks, we'll pile into the vehicle and head towards Lenoir City where we'll catch the interstate.

I'll have the vehicle fully gassed, so no need to stop for awhile. I'm sure in about an hour or two we'll have to stop for a potty break.

We plan on driving until about 11-ish PM. That should put us near the FL border, I think? I think we'll just be entering FL when we'll pull over for the night. But it will also depend on DH. He'll determine when we stop. I'll drive us up to our first stop and then he'll take over.

So once DH gets tired, we'll grab a motel (like a Holiday Inn or something). We'll look for something that we can get a AAA discount with and grab a room. I'll be packing a small bag for us to use that will hold PJs and our toiletries for one night. We'll leave everything else in the car and just bring in the one bag.

We'll curl up tight for a nice snooze because tomorrow will be a fun-filled day!

I also like to have a hotel picked out and a reservation to stay at, of course this does mean you have to keep going till you reach said hotel so maybe not a good idea in your case.

This is DH's idea, not mine. So if he wants to drive for 5-6 hours after he gets off work, that's his problem.

I prefer to have a reservation ... but since we won't know what kind of time we'll make and how quick DH will get tired, we'll have to wing it. I do have a AAA app that I can look for nearby hotels that offer a discount.

Yes, we have to stop for potty breaks. There's nothing like "I gotta peeeeeeeeeee! I'm so gonna pee back here!"
