March 2012: Spring Break, Here we come! Threadjackers take over the world!

Before we get into EP plans, I'm narrowing in on what our plans are for the beginning of the week. I'm continuing with EP, because I know it won't change. Well, I had to make a change ... but ... you'll see it later in the post. :thumbsup2

After our day at DHS and hanging out with Kouga and Akki ... we'll rest up and wake up early for our final park day at Epcot.

EP is open from 9:00 to 9:00 and rated as a 2.4 Best Park.

This will be a busy day for us ... lots of meeting! We'll be meeting up with Kouga and Akki, and hoping for lots of DISmeets! D has agreed to meet up with me at Mexico ... anyone else in? :lmao: No, seriously, but I do hope D will meet up with us!

I want to arrive as close to park open as possible. We'll do a Soarin FP dash and hmm... probably head over to The Seas and ride Nemo and see Turtle Talk with Crush. My DH can speak Turtle ... so hoping he'll get to talk to have a nice chat with Crush again. :goodvibes

Once we're able to get more FPs, we'll head over to TT and grab some. Hoping to knock out as much of Future World as possible before lunch ... so we want to ride SE, especially since we missed it last year. I want to spend some time in Innoventions, ride Living with the Land, check out the fish tanks, see Circle of Life (we've never seen it before), ride Journey into Imagination with Figment and play in the labs for a bit, MS:Green, and watch Ellen at Universe of Energy (the kids insist on this -- they've asked repeatedly if we'll see it again in March).

We'll be skipping Captain EO -- we saw it in May. I don't expect to get everything done before lunch, but would like to knock out as much as possible. OH! And I definitely want to hit Club Cool, or whatever it's called. The kids need some Beverly. I remembered about it in May .... after it closed.

Anyway ... not sure what we'll do for lunch ... not even sure if we'll stay in FW or go to WSC for a bite. I guess it depends on if we meet up with D (and/or others) and what everyone wants to do. I'm easy to please ... and there's lots of places I'd love to try ... and since I'm so indecisive ... maybe it would be better if someone else picked. :rotfl2:

Anyway ... after lunch, we'll wander around WSC. This year, I want to focus more on exploring the different countries. I think I'm going to do like a "Flat Stanley" thing for the kids ... but let them pick the "Flat" character. Maybe I'll let them each do one. I'm thinking they can do a little presentation back at school (if their teacher allows it), or maybe in their culture class. I'll get with the teachers ahead of time to be sure it's okay, but I still want to do something for the kids anyway.

I want to see more of the street shows, and there's still a few shows we haven't seen in WSC. At some point, we'll be at Norway for the Storytime Experience. I've not called and booked it yet because I needed to sort some stuff out. I will probably call tomorrow and get it booked. I need to get the times pulled out and see where I can work some of them in at. The kids had a blast with it last year, so looking forward to it again!

We originally had dinner ADR for GG ... but since we will have Kouga and Akki with us, I couldn't get a table for 6 ... so instead ...

We'll eat dinner with the Princesses at Norway! Dinner will be at 4:55 pm at Akershus. This will be a second visit for us ... and I'll be honest, I didn't care much for the food the first time. However, DH loved it, and when I brought up food options, he picked Akershus. We did love the Princess interactions, even if DS was still a bit scared of characters.

We'll be sure to use our FPs at some point in the day ... and maybe squeeze in a bit of shopping. If we see IllumiNations, we won't grab a spot until the last minute. We use as much time as possible when at EP, and it's still never enough.

If we have extra time, I'd love to do the Kim Possible missions ... but not holding my breath. :sad2:

Hmmm... you know, I'm not sure if I'll be staying for IllumiNations if we're seeing Yeeha Bob at 9pm. Can anyone verify the time as being 9pm? Or will it be later since most of us will be at EP that day?

Regardless, after EP, I'll head back to the resort and get the car and drive over to POR for the DISmeet and seeing Yeeha Bob! Then ... back to the resort for sleeps.

Coming up soon, our travel day and finalized plans. Enjoy some EP pictures from our previous visits!

ROFL... How about we meet up in Canada and work our way around to Mexico???

How about this... Why don't we plan to meet up for a CS meal in WS? I really want to do Biergarten, but I really don't want to pay for a meal oop... We can just text eachother and find out what works best for us that day? OR would you rather have a more formal plan?

[I want to arrive as close to park open as possible. We'll do a Soarin FP dash and hmm... probably head over to The Seas and ride Nemo and see Turtle Talk with Crush. My DH can speak Turtle ... so hoping he'll get to talk to have a nice chat with Crush again. :goodvibes

We will be there at park opening too... with the same plans right away. I'll tell Allison not to run you all over on her way to Soarin'... As for me - I'll be behind everyone else. :rotfl2:

I've heard a lot about Beverly - I'd really like to try it.

Let's play it by ear that day? I will confirm that I won't be hungry for any Mexican though (even though I could LIVE off of Mexican food)...

I am not sure... I would really like to stay for Illuminations - but that makes for a REALLY LATE night, for those of us that have an early morning the next day. And since our next morning is our only DHS day - it's really important that we are ther for RD... :confused3

ROFL... How about we meet up in Canada and work our way around to Mexico???

Works for me! :thumbsup2

A CS in WSC sounds good. I'd love to do Biergarten as well ... but that's OOP for us, too. Plus, if Kouga and Akki show up early ... then we'd have to ignore them while we ate, and that's not nice. :guilty:

Texting is fine! Unless we see each other before hand. :lmao:

We will be there at park opening too... with the same plans right away. I'll tell Allison not to run you all over on her way to Soarin'... As for me - I'll be behind everyone else. :rotfl2:

Yes, tell her to leave us old folk be. :thumbsup2

I really want to see the Figment show - as I never have.

Honestly, I didn't care much for it. But the kids enjoy it and were upset we didn't see it last year.

I've heard a lot about Beverly - I'd really like to try it.

I'll save a cup of it just for you. ;)

Let's play it by ear that day? I will confirm that I won't be hungry for any Mexican though (even though I could LIVE off of Mexican food)...

I could live off Mexican as well ... but I prefer not to do any extra worshipping that day. Spicy foods just don't have a tendency to stay with me. And I vote no Norway since we'll be there for dinner. :lmao: But outside of that, I'm game for whatever!

I know ... that's what I was thinking. I'd like to stay for IllumiNations, but that would put Yeeha at around 10pm, and then bedtime closer to midnight. It won't be so bad for me, since I'll be able to sleep in the car, but DH wouldn't be able to go.

I loved seeing all of the pictures! :thumbsup2

D~

Thanks! I love posting them. :lmao:

OK, forgive me - but I thought I knew everything about everyone on The Dis... Who are Kouga and Akki??? And, it's only fair, if they are going to be at Epcot on the same day they are - I really should know everything I can about them... :surfweb:

OK, I will do some research to see what kind of CS in WS I am hungry for today - that will probably change tomorrow... But it will give me something to do while I am drooling over Josh's huge pot of jambalaya he is making us for dinner...

D, you DO know everything about everyone on the DIS ... but ... Kouga and Akki are our World of Warcraft friends, not DISers. They're brothers who I've played WoW with for years. We met them "officially" last year at EP. :thumbsup2

They're the duders in the back with DH:
Photo0143FourBySix.jpg

Kouga is on the far left, Akki is in the middle, DH is on the far right. ;)

So what do you want to know about them? I can tell you anything and everything (well, not really, but I can make good stuff up!). :confused3

Feel free to pick us out some tentative places! :thumbsup2 I just ask no Norway. I think anything else would be pretty fair game. I think if we at least have some options, we can decide that day how we're feeling. I've not done much CS at EP -- we usually eat TS. So I've only had CS in Japan so far. I've not eaten anywhere else (CS) in WSC or FW.

Can't wait to hear what you're hungry for today!... and tomorrow ... and the day after... :rotfl2:

Perfect! Thanks for the introduction... I felt a little lost there. :lovestruc I even went back in your PTR a couple pages to see if there was any other mention of them - and I couldn't find it - so I was a bit stumped. It's all good now though. :thumbsup2

I'll try to take some time today and see what I am hungry for... No Norway and no Mexico... Also, how do you feel about eating early? I was just thinking that this is a day that we are eating breakfast on the run - So, we are probably going to eat lunch a bit early (11ish?)...

I even debated about heading off to get a Kitchen Sink for lunch this day... ROFL - after all, we are on vacation. :rotfl2:

D~

Love the EPCOT plans! :thumbsup2 Hopefully you get a lot done there. We will most likely be spending that day at EPCOT as well and we have a lunch tentatively planned for 1:30pm at LeCellier right now...so keep an eye out for us! ;) I think I want to hit MK in the morning first though...because I just want to spend some time in MK on my birthday! :)

JEALOUS! I have so wanted to get a Kitchen Sink, but I don't think our family could make even a small dent in it. that would be a fun group activity....as long as there is no double dipping involved! :rotfl2:

Did I not mention them on our DHS day? Because I should go back and fix that ... they'll be meeting up with us then, too. :rotfl2:

I prefer to eat early. I love eating lunch around 11, it's my normal lunch time. :thumbsup2

You should totally go get a Kitchen Sink. Calories, fat, etc don't count when you're at WDW. :goodvibes

Thank you! Please say "hi" if you see us! And I'd totally do MK that AM if it was my birthday, too! Actually, I'd probably split the day between MK and DHS. :lmao:

I'm sure my DH could devour it alone. He's what I lovingly call the "garbage disposal". I've never had leftovers before. He gets our whole family's money worth at buffets. :lmao::rotfl2:

I thought I mentioned them on DHS day ... but I suffer from Dory-brain. :rolleyes1

I'll have to pass. :guilty: We have a milk allergy in our family (DD).

We won't be able to do Kitchen Sink that day, it's our arrival day and we don't fly in to MCO until 12:45, so won't make it to POR until 2 or 3pm. We will be ready for REAL FOOD by then since brekkie will probably just be some sort of fast food sin at the airport...did I mention we are flying??? :rolleyes1 Yes, that is right, we ARE flying...

We booked our flights today!!!!! :dance3::yay::banana::cool1:

^^^ WHOOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WTG Oopsi!!! :)

D~

Yup. :cool1:

ACK!! I remember now... Dory brain here too... OK - so I will come up with an actual CS lunch then, not Norway and not Mexico... :thumbsup2

Me too!!

D~

It's okay! :goodvibes And I just rechecked, our dinner ADR is so early, we'll have to eat as close to 11 as possible. :thumbsup2 Then we might be hungry again by the time it's dinner time. :rotfl2:

Perhaps I should start charging admission. :confused3

I'm totally looking forward to meeting all my fellow DISers! :woohoo:

So Lidian, I must admite to you that I am super jealous of you for two reasons.
1. Your tickers has a lot less time on it than mine.
2. You get to have a dismeet with D. Lucky you.

I must admite that part of me is hoping to get a big tax return so that I can still put a large amount aside for our 2013 trip and have enough for a long weekend stay in March just so I could meet you girl in Epcot. I know, I'm a dork. Maybe I can even find someone to go with me to split the room cost. . .Well I can dream right. :rotfl2::rotfl::lmao::worship:
