March 2012 Rental Car?

Turns out the code is completely legit. I joined Flying Blue (air France's frequent flyer program). Today I received a welcome email from them and it included a link to their partner sites. I clicked on the one for National and it gives this code as a promotional code specifically for Air France and KLM frequent flyers. Now that I've confirmed it, I am definitely using it.

Is this comment in reference to National code 8572130?

It gave me a great rate! What do I need to do to legitimately use it? The DIS pages are not loading correctly on my computer and I cannot see this thread in its entirely.

Thanks for your help.

Yes. You can join the Air France frequent flyer group to be eligible for this rate. I have to admit, I didn't bother with that step. I've never, ever been asked for my group membership cards at MCO when picking up my cars.

Yes - I checked it out after I joined and it is legit.

I joined the Air France Flying Blue CLub but after logging in I can only see Hertz as a rental partner. Can you explain how you found the code on the Air France site?

I am on a budget for this trip:goodvibes

Thank you!

A couple days after I joined, they sent me a welcome email. In the email was a link to see their travel partners. I clicked on it and it took me to a page that showed all the various partners. I clicked rental cars, national, and the code came up.

Oddly, I've only been able to find the list of partners through the Flying Blue information on the KLM site. The KLM partner search tool can be found here.

Nice! There it is! This is a great code!

This is the webpage you go to when you click on the partners section of the welcome email I received: http://www.klm.com/travel/gb_en/flying_blue/earn_and_spend_miles/flying_blue_partners/index.htm

Select rental cars and click search and it will take you to a listing of their rental car partners. Click on National and it will take you to the page that gives you the promo code.

Using this link does not require you to become a member of the Air France Flyer Blue club- does anyone now if once you get to National if you need to show proof of membership?

Be sure you are hitting "Calculate" at the bottom of the page on the Flying Blue Deal. When I did, all the extras were removed from inclusion & all the taxes & fees were then added in. Comes out exactly the same as a reservation using my Emerald Club membership.

That doesn't sound right. Somewhere on the Flying Blue site, I read that part of the code benefits are the LDW and such are included. When I booked using the code all of the inclusions remained that way through booking.

Same here. The rate I got that was confirmed includes the insurance and is definitely MUCH lower than the rate I got with my Emerald Club membership.

edit: I just tried the code again and even with hitting the "calculate" button, there is no change at all. The great rate including the insurance stays the same.

Here's one to try. Budget has a pretty good deal going on; as low as $119 a week thru June. BCD is D454300. You can also click the link right on the front page of their website. I booked 5 days in March for $119 base/$171 total...

Same for me. When I reserved the car, it kept the LDW and the low rate.

Do I need to book the Air France code on the link through their website or may I just add the code on the National Website? I'm asking as I do not think the insurance was included on my rental. Could someone clarify?

Thank you for this great rate!!!

I just booked it thru National. My rate did not change and was confirmed incl. the ins.

Thank you for all the codes. Any recommendations for either Avis or Budget? I have the same vehicle class booked (Escape or similar) with both companies. Avis is $20.00 more.

Budget has a pretty good code right now, •Use offer code (BCD) D454300
it says compact 119/week and int. SUV 159/week.
