March 2012 Rental Car?

Keep any deals coming!
I have a medium car rented through Advantage for 175.00. (March 18-24) I would love to rent through Alamo, instead, but they are 275 dollars more!

I will be checking all the rental websites weekly.

My rate dropped again!!! $10 but hey $10 is $10!!! If I pick up at 9 or 10 it's $10 more, but picking up at 9:30 it's $10 less!! 9:30 for $10 please!!

Keep checking!!

Mine just dropped $5! Hey - it's enough for a Mickey bar!

for March 3-6th. I was hoping for Alamo or National so I do a one-way rental and drop off at the car care center...

The prices are crazy still though. I'm going to try a couple of the codes you've listed here:lovestruc

If I book something, and the price goes down...do I cancel the whole rental and start over, or is there an easier way? I've not rented a car in so long I forget how!;)

The same car for the same period is up $100!!! Crazy glad I booked that car already!!

Keep checking they go up and down!!

That's about the best deal I've seen so far, but need some further info, as we've rented with Alamo the past several years. Will I have to present anything, i.e. a paper coupon to get the discount? What discounts are these? Or should I not worry about that? I assume Budget works pretty much the same way as all the others? Go to the Budget section at the terminal, walk down the aisle and pick out a car? Thanks for the help.

Just booked March 3-11 with Sixt, full size car for $151. For the week. For the WIN!

Mom to Maggie can you provide more details on your rental. What agency and code if any did you use?

Sixt is offsite, right? Looks like they are north near the B-Line so would take a shuttle. I always wonder what that inconvenience is worth both renting and coming back. I really like using the companies at the airport (I know how long it will take me to walk versus waiting for a shuttle) but the prices at the airport onsite companies are sky high now. I look forward to hearing how others have liked Sixt. They are definitely cheaper by a long shot right now.

Can you tell me where you got these codes from or who they are from, i.e. Costco codes, etc.? I'd like to know what they are before I try to apply them. Don't want to show up for the car pick up and find out I needed to work for a certain company, or belong to a certain super store, etc.

Mine is the public travelocity code I believe
I don't have a costco card so I don't know any of those codes

I didn't book yet!

Uh, absolutely cheaper! On their website, it says that it is a 5 minute shuttle ride to their offsite location. They have bus stops at Terminal A & B. For the amount of savings I had, I'll take a little bit of a wait - we saved over $400 for the week.

How much extra time are you talking for Sixt... shuttle take how long? Wait is how long? Is it reasonable considering you need a shuttle and such... or is it a situation where there's one person working behind the desk and 40 families in front of you?

I dont mean to point out Sixt... does anyone have any answers for any of the off-site places?

Thank you. It's a good deal, but I'm a little worried about applying codes when I don't know what they "mean", if you know what I mean!

This one I found on Mousesavers if you use your Visa UUCZ010 you get an upgrade

I get $176 then $231 with taxes and fees for 4 nights pick up 3/31
my BCD code is the public travelocity code X474200

On the hunt for a great rate for March 29-April 2nd.

Did awesome with Alamo 3 weeks ago, so I will be watching!!! :cool1:
