Lots of questions to ask so i'll keep them all in here and could also help others going the same month. We have booked March 20th-25th at Hotel cheyenne. Me, my beautiful wife, Son (8) and Daughter (4). First time in Disney Paris although wifey has done Florida 3 times.

I've read that March is changeover time and some features may be closed/refurb. Any idea just how many and for how long ?

Is it REALLY ok to take food from breakfast to use in the parks for a snack in the afternoon ?

Do the EMH apply only in the morning or do they have EMH at night too ?

How big are the safes as we thought we might take our laptop (15" screen) with a few movies on it as i read that the TV channels are all in french ?

Is it correct there are no tea making facilities in the hotel cheyenne ? I reeeeeeally need a cuppa in the morning lol

Any help very much appreciated !!! Quick count says 29 weeks to gooooooooo. Tik Tok :):cool1:

hopefully there won't be any major refurbs going on, just maybe some rides closed for maintenance. Unfortunately DLP doesn't advertise these until usually about 2-3 months before you arrive :confused3. You won't see any of the dedicated 2011 stuff in late March 2012, as it will have stopped for the new season events to start at the beginning of April.

yes its okay, just don't take the Mickey (lol)

only mornings, and not necessarily every morning in March (unless its already advertised on the official website that it is every morning when you are there).

I don't think they are big enough for laptops.

you can ask for a kettle, but you have to pay for supplies (ie tea, coffee, milk, sugar). I always just take my own (and a travel kettle).

Hope this helps,

Haven't as yet stayed on the park although we are planning to rectify that after Xmas so not in aposition to comment re the rooms although I believe from reading previous posts that you need to take supplies to make tea or buy locally - not sure if there is a kettle in saying that!

One thing I can say though, EMH is only in the morning!

Travel Kettle, what a great little idea :) And fill it up with sugar and tea bags to last :) Now i need to follow the "milk" thread to get some decent milk lol.

Now looking at food :

The menus all state "pizza" but no size ? So, does anyone know how big are the pizzas at each restaurant ?

Might seem like a strange question but i'd like to know if anyone has a rough idea.

Thanks :)

You can see a couple on here

These are the same ones that you get at Bella Notte

Have a look at the restaurant reviews and you should be able to see most things from the restaurants

Thanks Carrie - you're a star. Sometimes hard to see by pictures how big the pizzas are but guessing they are all about 9 or 10 inches.

Depends how big an appetite you have - My OH can eat 1 on his own but it's the size that I would be sharing if it was me

I don't like them much, prefer the pasta and garlic bread, as I think they are a bit cardboardy and too much tomato sauce but I'm fussy :rotfl:

Just asked OH and he says they are about 20 cm at a rough guess so 8" :)

Well i certainly won't be sharing one if it's 8" lol

Spent a good while researching and now have our list of where we will and won't be eating. I just grudge paying some of the prices for the table service restaurants especially as our kids are very fussy and may turn their nose up :/ That sort of includes me too as i am fussy and don't like ANY vegetables or salad etc.

Depending how much cash we have left though on the last night i may just splash out on a steakhouse mmmmmmmmm

We too have booked the Cheynne for 19th March for three nights. We have been there before and my 8 year old loved it! Can't remember about the safe - sorry! as for breakfast we did and nobody batted an eyelid :goodvibes we took our own tea/coffee stuff which was fine - so probably your best bet! I was also wondering about rides etc being closed so thanks for asking about that :) hope i won't be disappointed, have a great time and ENJOY

Cant believe 20 weeks have flown by since i started this thread and now just over 8 weeks to go til D-Day (Disney Day LOL)

So, a few more questions if anyone could help please.

We are definitely going for a day in Paris one day and read lots of info. Just want to ask, i think we have to buy a Mobilis 1-5 ticket at the train station in Disneyland. Does this cover you for ALL train AND Metro in Paris ? Think its about €14 pp which will be a bargain if you can also do Metro.

We are landing in Paris CDG at 18:10 and then shared shuttle to our Hotle Cheyenne. Hoping to go into the Village that night and wondering what time Cafe Mickey closes and whether the characters will still be doing the rond late at night about 9pm ?

We have DS who is 8 and DD who is 4. DS will go on ANYTHING !! but DD is a bit tentative. She will love the princesses etc as she is Disney Daft but what rides would be suitable for a very tentative 4 year old girl ?

Will shops be open in Disney village after 8pm so we can buy some autograph books on first night to take into Cafe Mickey ?

Can anyone explain why i think of a million questions and then when i come to write a post i can't remember the half of them as the excitement has taken over again just thinking about D-Day lol

Happy and sad to see that during our stay the only ride which is fully closed for the whole time we are their is BTM, although it's the one ride my wife absolutely loves so she is gutted. But still happy that only one is closed.

Is their a list somewhere of which restaurants will be closed while we are their ? I read somewhere that Buzz Lightyears Pizza Planet will be closed :/

we're also going in March :goodvibes

Shops will be open, don't worry about that.

My Ds is also tentative so we did all the slow and nice rides - tea cups, carousel, it's a small world etc. He loved Buzz laser blast, Peter Pan and Star tours. BTM and Phantom manor was a no no - we tried, won't do again, maybe couple years later :goodvibes He liked Dumbo, Orbitron was not so favorite, oh he liked Disneyland railroad, Casey Jr. was not last than 45-60min wait, so we never did this one. The one next to it with boats and fairy tales was very very nice and we did that couple of times every day.

And don't tell me Buzz pizza will be closed, my Buzz fan is so looking forward visiting it, last time it was also closed.

I know Annette's will be closed. Not sure about Walt's :confused3

Mobilis covers you for all metro/bus/tram and RER travel during the day that you use it .

Café Mickey is open until 23.00 (0.00 on Sat) so I guess you will have the characters until late but someone will confirm

Shops are open very similar to the restaurants so no pb buying something at 20.00

Walt's will be closed all Feb/March, Annette's is planned atm - 13/5 -6/4, Blue Lagoon will no doubt be closed during the POTC refurb and Auberge is closed in 19/5 -6/4

hth :)

ps Wouldn't suprise me if Buzz PP is closed, I've never seen it open for years

The best would be not to remind DS and hope he will forget ... eventually...

Another 4 days closer since my last post :)

Getting to Val d'europe shopping centre in is one of my questions. I know the train is just one stop and about €3.50 retrun but i read elsewhere that there is a private shuttle for €5 return. I dont know if this is a shuttle service or just getting a local taxi. If its a taxi and only €5 then with 4 of us it will be cheaper and more convenient than the train.

Anyone got any info on this ?

:confused3

don't know about your last question but we're checking in the day you're checking out! Staying only two nights, but nous avons acheté nos billets! :)

Good to know about the tea so I'll have to be sure to bring something to make mine and good to know about the Mobilis ticket being good for that entire day.

I'm hoping the rides are all up and running since they start the 20th anniversary celebration the following the week (we won't get to see any of those special shows, though, since we checkout the 27th but that's ok)

Have a great trip!

When I went in February last year, it was a shuttle bus that took you to and from Val D'europe so you would have to be 5euro each.

I've been by train lots of times and it really is an easy journey! We'll be going there during our trip for a spot of shopping and to visit the sealife centre!

Don't forget to buy a carnet of 10 tickets for going on the RER to Val d'Europe
Works out about 20% cheaper than buying them separately and also you can get half price tickets for your daughter

Don't know if you've seen also that if you book on line you can get a reduction at Sealife

Hi

Re the kettles, we usually seem to get one in our room in the Cheyenne but if not you can request one from reception for a returnable deposit of (I think) €30. However we always take our small travel kettle anyway as it saves the hassle of having to queue up to get the deposit back on checking out. Do remember to take mugs as these are not provided unless you buy the overpriced (in my opinion) drinks and biscuit pack.

Re the safe, the room safe is definitely not large enough for a laptop but there is a free safety deposit facility at reception. You hand over your laptop (or whatever larger item you wish to store safely) and they give you a ticket which you can reclaim again anytime. It has to be done at the check-in reception rather than the information desk.

Hope this helps.:)

Another few days trickle past and it's now exactly 50 days until D-DAY !!

So, a few more questions. Thanks to all for the advice so far.

I understand you can get a wake up call in the morning and this can be from a character voice thing.

Can you choose which character and how much does this service cost ?

Does the Cheyenne do room service ?
