Just saw this as well... was already planning on moving my trip to start on March 7. Does this mean I will get free dining for the whole trip even if we stay past the 10th?

We shifted from 3/14-3/21 to 3/10-3/17 to take advantage of free dining at POFQ. I'd really prefer a room-only discount that would allow us to move into the deluxe category, but given the spring break dates, I figured I'd better grab what I could and see what happens down the road.

I just called the ressie line and we are going for our Disneymoon 3/25-4/3 the guy on the line said that it is available for 3/4-3/8 and is blocked out for the rest of the month??? any ideas or special code i can say to get that free dining???

Scratch the above post! apparently the CM i had on the first phone call did not know what he was talking about because i called right back, got a GREAT CM and she booked our Honeymoon for us with the free dining!! Thanks to all who posted this thread or i would have never known!!!

Have been looking into booking for early March 2012 but not ready to pull the trigger quite yet. I'm looking to celebrate my 40th birthday in Disney but since I am an AP holder I'm going to hold out for some AP rates and NOT book free dining, as tempting as I am to do that. I just feel we may be able to do better if we get a great AP rate and then just buy the extra ticket for my hubby!

We are visiting 3/29-4/6 and staying at CBR, our second time at that resort and our 4th trip ever.

Right now we have the Free Dining but we have never used the Dining plan before and aren't sure whether the FD will be better for us or any possible room discounts. Guess we will find out!

Keep track of how many days before you check in. The morning of 180 days out you should be going on-line or calling to make your table service dining reservations. During the free dining period - without advance reservations you'll find it difficult if not impossible to walk up to a restaurant and get a table

Thanks! We are now trying to figure out which character meals we want to try - can't believe we've been 4 times and never done one. We have 2 boys - 6 & 4 years old. I'm thinking Crystal Palace and Chef Mickey's. Any other suggestions?

Our kids have always enjoyed the Garden Grill. I know some people don't like it but we've done almost all of the character meals and we always get the best character interaction at the Garden Grill.

Woohoo! Just booked Beach Club 3/25-4/1 with FREE DINING! We upgraded to Deluxe.....still going to watch for a code to see which is better! Cannot wait for a spring break vacation this year!!!

i think i'm gonna go ahead and do the free dining deal and upgrade to deluxe, just doing that saves me about 600 or 700 dollars, i can't really ask for much more than that

if a better deal came out, would it be too late to change or add the new deal if i already paid a deposit?

They will charge you if you're within the 45 day window.

We are booking 3/24-3/21 with Free Dining. I would much rather have a room discount and get the QS plan..but I will take any discount. If something else comes out, I will run and the numbers and possibly switch our package...

We have been in Dec, Feb, May, June, Aug and Oct. I have NO idea what to expect in terms of weather and crowds for the end of March - for those who have experience, can you share your thoughts on what we might expect? TIA!

We went the last week of March 2011 and it was 80-85 degrees and sunny almost the entire week. We had one morning of storms which led to overcast and cooler temps - maybe high 70's. It was great weather...Not too hot!

We have been in March, April, May, and Sept. March was easily the most crowded we have seen, but the longest we waited in lines was maybe 30 mins. We used FastPass a lot and did the later parades and had no problems with the crowds.
