Anyone else planning on going then?

I just made our reservations at AKL for March9-15th. I have looked at the holidays for next year and March doesnt really have any so I think this will be a fabulous month to go. Hopefully not too crowded, and fingers crossed the hotels are offering value prices. If not, oh well.

We were going to go in October but we love March trips so much better that I think we're going to put off the trip for a few months and go at the better time.

Hi. I will join you. I have never made a vacation this far in advance....my DH thinks I am nuts with all of this planning. We are more spur-of-the-moment people.

So how many times have you been? This will be our first visit, so if you have any tips, I would love to hear them. I have learned so much already. Thanks to everyone here.

Hi, I'm going in March 2009! I can't wait. I also am wondering how you already booked it - I actually went last night to the Disney page to check on packages, but it said they were only booking through December 31, 2008 right now.

I already know when my kids have the week off from school, but I'm waiting for my own school's (I'm a teacher) 2008-2009 calendar to come out. It's almost always the same week as the district my kids are in, but I want to confirm that before I actually book.

You can call and make a reservation that far ahead. We were originally planning on going in Oct during fall school break but that is just 6 days so we decided to delay the trip and go during spring break which is 10 days. I couldn't find prices on Disney's Website that far out so I actually called this morning and they told me I could make reservations but they didn't have package prices available for 2009 yet. DH wants to stay offsite and I want to stay on so I didn't book anything yet I was just hoping to get an idea of the price. They told me April 2009 prices should be out by this Sept.

I too have to wait for all of the school calendars to come out every year before planning vacations!

Hey Cyn! I actually just went and poked around on my school's website, and found the 2008-2009 calendar! (they must have just added it, because I looked for it last week and they didn't have it up). Both spring breaks (for the kids and me) are March 14th-20th next year, so that is our week. WOO HOO! My husband's birthday is March 20th, and he loves Disney as much as I do, so what a GREAT present.
