Dh and I have been to WDW before in March and it was quite quiet. This year we are bringing our dd there from March 11-16th. How bad will the crowds be?

thanks!

Early March is typically "moderate" attendance so there will be crowds but it should be managable. The last half of March is when Spring Break starts and it gets more crowded.

Allearsnet.com has some interesting info about attendance levels here:
http://www.allearsnet.com/pl/attend.htm
But this info really hasn't changed in the last few years so I don't know if it's still up to date or not.

hth.

 Hi! We will be there at the same time! We intially planned to go the third week in March but we had family in WDW for the third and fourth weeks of March last year. It was very crowded. They were talking to a CM that mentioned that there was a significant difference in the crowd levels from the first two weeks of March and the last. Keep your fingers crossed, hopefully it will hold true for this year!

That's when we always go because it is our March break here. It is usually
fairly busy in the parks but not crazy. :)

We went that week this year. It was AWESOME! :thumbsup2

Crowds were very manageable. You'll be fine because Easter is in April. Weather was P E R F E C T. Not a drop of rain and temps in 80's. I wish we could join you this year! Have a great trip!

I just saw on the Unofficial Guide that it will be very crowded, a 9 on a scale of 1-10. :sad1:

We are going March 3-10. Never been there for March. How is the weather?
I hear the crowds are not too bad :confused3

We had 8's and 9's during our stay last year and it was still fine. Avoid the crowded parks (those with EMH!!!), and you'll be fine. The weather was AWESOME :cool1:

What does the UG say about Crowds from March 8-19? Just ordered my copy from Amazon. Thanks Deb

Canadian Spring Break (called "March Break") is from March 12-16 this year. March Break is a notoriously busy time of year at WDW. LOTS of Canadians make the drive to WDW from Ontario especially.

Last year we went during March break and we waiting FOREVER for many of the rides. This year, we are going from the week after MB for 2 weeks.

Don't the U.S. schools do Spring Break around the Easter holiday?

The US starts about March 12th and goes on from there.

It is funny the responses I have gotten here compared to other places. Some say it will be VERY busy while others say it is moderate.

We will be there as well. Went last year at the same time. Make sure you use fastpasses. If you want to go on Soarin' get a fastpass early. We missed out on that ride since the wait was 3 hours when we went and the fastpasses were not until very late. That was the only ride we gave up on.

Many, many from the state of TX will be there that week, including us. I think it will be quite crowded. But that's OK, because we'll be at WDW and we're armed with great knowledge from here (& TGM!). :)

This will be our third year in a row in Disney during that same week. The first year, the crowds were fairly low, but it rained EVERY day. But it was Disney and we're used to the August rain, so it was still a great time. Last year, not a rain drop all week, but the crowds were much larger. There was a line for everything, but it was very managable if you know how to work the parks and use fastpass. We didn't wait more than 20 minutes for anything, including the large rides. It's just a matter of not going to parks on EMH days and eating at off-times.
But no matter what, it's a great time to go- just 54 days from now! :cool1:

We went the second week in March last year and the crowds were not bad, at least compared with what I imagined. Using FastPass and strategies from TGM and the Unofficial Guide, we never waited more than 20 minutes for a ride - except for Aladdin and Dumbo (darn carnival rides!).

We also went at the end of June and it was much more crowded.

We're going the same week at the OP this year, and I would love it if the crowds were like last year.

We were there last year on the Ontario March Break and it was busy, but not CRAZY I don't think ... we used fastpasses for a few rides, and didn't find the wait too, too bad. Dumbo was a bit long though. This time we are going there first when the wait if 20 minutes instead of 80!!! (my youngest had to leave the line to go pee ... thankfully a very nice dad behind my dh, dd, and my dad let her back in (you just never know!!) ...

March is the only time we can go. The parks are doable. Just take your time, take small breaks and enjoy yourself. There is no way you can do everything. There is plenty I didn't see or do on past trips and I plan on doing so on this trip.

Hey Pigget74!

We will be WDW March 9-16. We are from Purvis. Great to see a neighbor on board!!!!

Hey we will be there from March 11-21!!!!:cool1:
I can't wait!!! We go around the same time every year (early-mid March) and have never had any issues with the crowds. It's busy, but it's WDW -- when is it not busy!?!?!
Use the fast passes and plan good and you'll be fine. Don't forget your HD Mickey Heads -- maybe we'll see ya there!
