March 2007, how busy?

We've been in '02, '04 & '06 during March. Typically around the 2nd & 3rd weeks. Crowds are moderate during that time, we usually manage fairly well with FP. During those 3 years it's been very warm weather with us spending 2 - 3 days at the water parks and swimming on the other days. Evenings can be cool and I know other years there have been cold snaps. This year we were there 10 days and it didn't rain once and the weather was beautiful with highs in the upper 70s & low 80s.

Thank you, sounds like a great time to go! We have visited in the summer months, and also October and November but never spring.

I visited WDW in March (see dates below), and the parks were very busy. I was there mainly to see a couple of spring training baseball games (the Atlanta Braves do their training at WDW every year), but I also visited three of the parks and all three were very busy. This was especially true at Epcot on extra evening magic hours (Friday, March 17, St. Patrick's Day). I will tend to avoid parks with evening EMH in the future.

The weather was quite warm, especially sitting in the sun for the baseball games.

Enjoy.

I was there the second week of this past March and the crowds were moderate and the weather was wonderful, although a bit cool in the early mornings.

Go and enjoy!

(By the way - touringplans had it as very crowded for that week too, but they were way off.)

We go during our spring breaks which is always in March. We are booked to go March 24 to 31 for 2007. As others said the crowds where moderate and the weather was great. There was a few evenings when it got a tiny chilly but since we live in the Chicagoland area it was nothing to us. Still wonderful compared to home.

I can't wait for our trip. Yes, go and have a great time!! :thumbsup2

We are also planning to head to WDW for this years Spring Break. Stichfans, I think that we might see you there.. we will be there 3/24-4/1. I am going to expect the worst and hope for the best regarding the crowds. Heat we can deal with - afterall, it will probably still be freezing here in Chicago!

HOw does it compare to say going in the summer months, June, July or August, I have been there during these times and have alos been there over Thanksgiving.

I've been the second week of June a few times, and I would say the crowds were about the same. With planning, you can do everything you want to do, with minimal waits.

As far as the weather, there is no comparison! March, beats the summer hands down!

We went during spring break in '02 and '04 which is the 2nd week of March. The crowds are moderate to large. It was nothing like what we saw during a July 4th trip. The temps can vary... nights can get on the cool side and we have been there when the days reached the upper 80's.

We went in March 05 and WOW it was very crowded more than Ive ever seen but that was cause it was spring break week for everyone apparently. We just made sure we were at the parks at opening, used FP and we were able to do everything we wanted. The weather was beautiful in 5 days it rained once for 30 min but it was in the evening after we returned to our resort.
The worst thing was that I4 was backed up as well as I95 from Daytona all the way to SC!! It took us twice as long to get home..

The March crowds definitely depend on when Easter falls. They are much heavier throughout all of March when Easter is in March as well, as it was in '05.

Stitchfans and Iwannago!!, I will be there too 3/24-3/31 -- Spring Break is that week for us and it's the only time we can go, so that's what we do. We go expecting huge crowds, and we always find they're not that bad. I don't know if it has more to do with our expectations, or with how they actually are, or both. Regardless, we're THERE, and that's what makes it great, no matter how big the crowds are!

That is so funny seeing someone with a time line exactly like ours. maybe we will pop into each other. neat! :thumbsup2

We too are going during March 25-30. It is our spring break also. I am hoping that although it will be busy, maybe not as bad as the week following and the week previous since Easter holiday starts late the following week. Anyway, we are prepared for the crowds. Never have been there during a peak season.
