Just wanted to start a post to see if anyone knows of March discounts yet. I have a res. at POR through AAA but want to get Swan with teacher discount (has not been released yet), which I had last year. But anything else out there? Thanks!

We always take spring break mid-March. Last two years the discounts were released right after the new year, I think the very first days after New Year's. Hope this helps. I checked the passholder site for best rate and those are available thru February 15th, so hopefully something soon. Good luck!

I keep checking all the time. My whole family currently has a ressie at CR but we too are hoping for the Dolphin at the end of March for spring break. Two of us are teachers as well.

I have AAA rate reservations at Poly Concierge Garden View mid-month. I'm not holding my breath for anything better but am checking regularly just in case.

For March '06, I tried the AAA rate for the Deluxes and it was the same as rack rates. I did see AAA rates for moderates. If someone did get AAA rate for deluxe, what rate is it?
Thank you

I currently am booked at CR with a AAA discount. The package total including taxes is $2310 for standard wing room. Per night it comes out to about $290 before taxes which is the same as dolphin's rack rate. I'm hoping Dolphin will come out with teacher rates that are significantly cheaper. If not we'll decide whether to stay at CR or switch to D/S. By the way, I did make the CR ressies in July. :earsboy:

:confused3

Not to sound too much like a Mo but what is the teacher discount and is only good at Swan/Dolphin? We are going next year (havent decided specific dates yet) with another family and she is a teacher. I have a Disney Visa and am a AAA member but I wonder if this is a better savings.

Thanks, Wendy

If you are a teacher and the teacher rates become available at Swan/Dolphin you can get significant discounts to their rates. You must have a paystub or some form of i.d. as a teacher to receive this rate. So if your friend books the reservation she could probably use it, not sure about booking two rooms though. They might not allow that.

The S/D also have other discounts besides teachers. We went with our friends last year and her DH works for our local government. He was able to get the same discount as I did as a teacher. All I had to show was my paystub and we got a huge savings on our room. But so far there are no discounts for March. I am soooo bummed!

I have a room only ressie with AAA discount at BC for Feb. 27-March 6 and it is a 10% discount, just about pays for the room taxes which I think are 11%. Better than nothing, hoping for more! :goodvibes

My cousin is a teacher, and I inquired as to how many rooms she could book for our family trip last fall. IIRC, they would put 4 rooms under her name.

I'm not totally sure about that, but I definitely remember that she could book more than one room at her teacher rate.

I'm in the same boat as Disneytrip. We've got POR from 3/2 - 3/11 on the AAA discount at $148/night and the goal is to get all or some of the nights at S/D on the Teacher's Rate. I'm not too confident about getting all the days at S/D as this Jan. we had to take the first 3 days of our stay at Swan, the middle 2 at AllStar and the last 3 at Dolphin. It seems like full weeks at the Teacher's Rate just aren't offered anymore. I think their hope is that folks will bite the bullet and pay rack rate for the mid-week days not offering the discount.

I just noticed that the rates that week at Swan have gone from 289 to 329 since last week! Oh no!

I'm waiting with you guys. We are staying in a vacation home feb 25-march 4 and I am hoping to get a good discount for an onsite hotel for two more nights at the end. Would love to know when the teacher rates come out or any good discounts for other resorts.

cwnhokie- We'll be there 2/27-3/4 to celebrate our 2 and 4 year old boys turning 3 and 5! Your boys are adorable.
I'm pretty sure we're staying at POFQ, but all we have now is the AAA rate. Let's hope for really great peak season discounts!

That is funny, My youngest will be turning 3 this month and my oldest will be 5 Feb 19th, I was thinking about celebrating his birthday a week late at Chef Mickeys or something. Or not getting them anything for Christmas or their birthdays and getting two nights, 3/4 & 3/5 at AKL. They have so many toys, I told DH we could start hiding them now and wrap them up and they will seem new by Christmas. A discount code would help as well. What is your rate with the AAA discount, is it worth joining? I've been debating that vs. APs.
