:( Only 10 1/2 more work days and I'm sick. Actually so is my DD. A nasty storm came through on Sunday and Monday and totally through our sinuses for a loop. Hope we get over it before we leave. Wish we'd get some sunshine here.

See you all soon Portside.

Have a great day!!!

2 weeks from today we leave for our drive to KC. Fly out early on the the 18th non stop flight and then staying at POP for 2 days before the cruise.

Feel better, Dawn!

I am once again posting today for the sheer joy of seeing my countdown clock. Please bear with me, LOL.

Dawn, I have a nasty cold also. At least we have time to get healthy before our cruise. I just hope my husband doesn't catch it.

gmotley, I just added you to our unofficial cruise list. If any info is incorrect let me know at kathyt@raccoon.com

Another reminder about the DIS meet: right before sail-away party looking down at Goofy pool (can't remember deck no.) and starboard (right) side. I goofed when I said port it is starboard.

Dawn and Kathy, I have a cold too; my theory is that I'm getting it over now and will be in tip top shape for the trip! However, I'm washing my hands like crazy and keeping a little distance from the kids and dh to try to keep them healthy.

I guess I've talked about this cruise for a long time now...at work (at a school, so lots of teachers and parents), I have a bunch of people every day now saying, "So, how many days?" It is so exciting to have the number so low :bounce:

My dh and I are both fighting colds here too. But I am holding on to the fract that the southern sun can bake out any germs! It was getting nice here in Oregon, but the clouds and rain returned today. I am just holding on till we fly out two weeks from now....I can hardly wait.

Hi Everyone,
My little boy has the flu. Poor little guy. I am suppose to be shopping for a new dress........

Sorry everyone seems to be getting sick. It looks like everyone that is sick is from the midwest...For all you worried about getting sick before the cruise:
There was a thread a while back abouth Ziacom for when you are about to get a cold. I was very skeptical, but then guess who got cold symptoms the next day...
I bought the stuff and the cold symptoms were gone within a few hours. My husband tried the stuff the next day after getting the cold symptoms and he never got the actual cold either. If you read the thread it was the swabs that worked the best. I don't know if it really worked but I am glad I found that thread.

Kennedy Space Center has scheduled an unmanned rocket to launch a GPS Satelite the day we board!!
Event: Delta 2 Rocket Launch
Date: 3/20/2004

Time: 12:39:00 PM EST
Details: Boeing Delta 2 will launch the NAVSTAR Global Positioning System 2R-11 military navigation satellite. The launch will be run by the U.S. Air Force.
Contact: Reservations
Phone: (321) 449-4444
Location: Cape Canaveral Air Force Station

I have read that the ship is one of the best places to see the launch!!! Anyone know anything about this?

I think it would be great if the DIS group got together for Tea at Palos. My husband would rather die than go and I think it would be fun. Anyone want to try to go?

I hope you are all feeling better soon!
Dawn

Oh one more thought,

We watched some reality show the other night and they had a Hummerzine pick everybody up. My boys thought it was the coolest thing ever. I wonder when the Hummerzine will be arriving at port, maybe we will be able to see it.
thanks,
Dawn

Our family has also been fighting the nastiest colds that we've seen in a long time. That is, the rest of the family has been fighting it. I was the only one who took the Zicam and the only one who didn't get knocked out by the cold. Every time I feel it coming on, I use the swabs. And I haven't had many symptoms so far!

Hopefully the Zicam will continue to keep it at bay!

Dawn,
Our group has the Hummerzine reserved for our trip to the port on 3/20. We are staying at Pop Century and the Hummerzine is scheduled to pick us up at 11:30. We wanted to leave earlier than that but the Hummerzine will be out on a trip and is scheduled to return to Orlando around 10:30. If it gets back on time and is ready earlier then11:30 they said they would come get us sooner. :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:
If we are picked up at 11:30, (depending on how long it takes to load our luggage) I would think we would be arriving betweeen 12:30 and 1:00.
If anyone has any ideas on how I could let fellow Dis'ers that we are almost to the port in the Hummerzine, let me know.
2 weeks from today at this time we will be in Orlando.!!!!!!
:bounce: :bounce: :hyper:

Padre Disney between 12:30 and 1:00, I hope we are on the boat at that time and hanging out at Topsiders stuffing ourselves.... only way to let us know is to call us on the cell phones.. but that can be $$ for you.. or on our Mickey 2 way radio talkabouts.. but I don't think they have a lot of range..

Although between 12:30 and 1, I want to be sitting on the back part of the ship, eating shrimp and watching the launch..

I just checked the St Thomas day docking and it looks like we will not have to tender in which I am excited because it will be easier to come and go from the ship. Also......the Queen Mary II will be in St. Thomas.....It will be nice to get a look at her.

Wow, no tendering at St Thomas and the QMII will be there and we will get to see a launch from OUR ship on Sat!

Thanks Magicboundagain4 and disneylarsen. What great info you gave us today!
It just keeps getting better and better and.....

Why is it -- I've been counting down to this cruise for about 18 months and now that it is a couple weeks away I want time to slow down! I guess I'd better go see what I have in the closet and start making some shopping lists!!

This is news to ponder, no tendering....hmmm:scratchin . I had talked myself into Coki beach and Coral world instead of St. John in case we weren't able to get on one of the earlier tenders. Now we will be docking!:sunny:

Does anyone know how early you need to leave Trunk bay by to catch the 2pm Red Hook ferry? I just don't know what to choose. I would leave it until we wake up that morning and go with what we feel like but we have to let relatives know in advance of our plans to meet up with us. They are on St. John that week, all week long, and are willing to meet up either place.
